This was the Rocklord I had. Granny got me it from a church jumble sale so I don’t think I ever realised they were a proper thing until this thread.  glol. Both of these Rocklord posts have really made me titter |

Not a fan of the Beast Wars aesthetic. I like robots that turn into realistic vehicles, but animals look naff unless they're slightly techno and not natural colours. Wonder if there's a white Rock Lords, so it looks like 80s dog eggs  |

Also, this wasn't a Transformer but it transformed so it counts. I had some kind of vehicle (I think it was GI Joe but not sure) that opened up into a big weapons platform and made a very distinct VVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE sound as it did so. I ended up getting sweet talked by a school mate into swapping it for that fuck from He-Man with a lizard tail and I think that's the first time I ever felt a crushing sense of disappointment in life.

I remember seeing an advert for those rock lord things once. But only once, and had almost convicted myself until this thread that my small child brain at the time had made it up because nothing could be that shit.
I don't remember any of my transformers being shit. They were all awesome. Even the ones I broke.

Yeah I think I had some Mask that made noises as it Transformer.
Starcom had a bunch of noisy moving parts too but that was smaller

I can't find any MASK toys like it when I google. It was definitely military themed. Might have been an APC but not sure. You didn't fold it on out either, you pressed a button somewhere and it did it all BY MAGIC.

I only had one Transformer. It was a red Lamborghini Countach. My twin brother had a white Porsche 911 one
Had tons and tons of Star Wars toys but never really got into Transformers (or He-Man stuff either). It was too expensive to collect everything

Transformers passed me by (assumed it was before my time, but maybe not if retro was born in 54). Similarly had loads of Star Wars stuff though - ridiculous number of figures and vehicles. I never did get the Falcon I wanted. That Christmas I got Vader's chamber thing. It was shit. Sob. One day I'll find one 2nd hand. Or buy the UCS Lego.
