We had someone talk shit about Sir David Attenborough recently, so I thought why not have a thread where we can collect the candidates for the Great Purge. Or just disagree with each other about things, that works too.
Anyway, here is my thing
I hate the Netflix show Big Mouth. Many people I know recommended it to me, it seems almost uniformly loved, so I watched the first season to see what the fuss was about.
And I hated it. Some of the voice performances were ok, but it looked terrible, was very rarely funny, and was just an unpleasant watch in general. I get that it's meant to be realistic about 13-year-old kids going through puberty, but
a) I'm well past the age of needing Sex Ed
b) I don't have any nostalgia for those times either. I don't *want* to remember puberty thanks
So yeah, I hate it and anyone who likes it is wrong and should go watch adult cartoons that are about adult things, like Bojack Horseman and clinical depression. Thank you for your time.

Commando is the shittest popular 80s action film, it shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as the greats. Almost all, if not all, the 80s action films are shit. |

I detest the people on it so enjoy watching them suffer, which they invariably do. However there’s occasionally a person that’s ok, which keeps it interesting

Britpop was shit, and somehow the 80s indie scene became referred to as Madchester despite all the associated bands being the most tedious, middle of the road bands imaginable and about the least “mad” music could get.
Also, Guns N Roses aren’t metal, or hard rock. They’ve got less energy than McFly.

I have loads of these. Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the best games of the last generation. Game of Thrones season 8 was not that bad. The Last Jedi is the best Star Wars movie. Pheobe Waller-Bridge is overrated. And one for the Aussies: Steve Irwin was a complete prick.

Just a couple:
Doctor Who is, and has been, a bit shit ever since it first came back.
Christopher Nolan is not an amazing director or writer. In fact he's a bit mediocre and is utterly terrible at writing interesting characters.
The RoboCop remake was better than RoboCop 2.

The best and most memorable thing about 80s and 90s kids cartoons was the opening themes. The actual cartoons were mostly shit, and today's are much better

I know a few people who like Doctor Who, but who have been critical of it ever since the Doctor was cast as a female.
I think it's been a bit shit ever since the initial Christopher Eccles-cake run of modern Who.
It may have been shit in the original seasons but frankly can't recall much from those days.
