Red Dwarf is frankly not funny and never has been. I agree with this unpopular opinion.

I have loads of these. Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the best games of the last generation. Game of Thrones season 8 was not that bad. The Last Jedi is the best Star Wars movie. Pheobe Waller-Bridge is overrated. And one for the Aussies: Steve Irwin was a complete prick. Almost agree with all of these. Anyone that hates on season 8 GoT really should have as much bile for the previous 2-3 seasons and I would say it was an improvement on 7. Last Jedi is easily the best Star Wars film since Empire, with no competition. And Fleabag was fine as a drama, but not particularly funny when Hugh Dennis wasn't around. Don't think rating Horizon as one of the best games of the last gen is that unpopular though. I thought it was really overrated and was a victim of the same trappings that most open world games suffer from.

Oh the GoT rot started way before the final season. I'd say around the middle of S5, though there were still a few decent episodes dotted around after that.
I think people focused on the final season because they'd invested the better part of a decade following this thing. And that makes a crappy ending feel ever so much worse than it might have been objectively.

Game of Thrones was dull as fuck from the very beginning. Which should really be no surprise as a Song of Ice and Fire is poor, too.

How the actual fuck can Steve Irwin, rest his soul, be a prick.
Tea is rank sock water though.

Last Jedi is easily the best Star Wars film since Empire, with no competition. +1 to that. Give it a decade and everyone will agree. Black Panther is slightly racist in that patronising colonial way where Africa has itself to blame for all the dictators and infighting that is holding it back. The big bad is literally wakandans fighting each other... in the MCU where saving planet earth from some cosmic evil is rather basic stuff. Parasite is a well made piece of shit that perpetuate harmful lies about poverty, it's nothing but a comfort blanket for the middle class.

The Single Ladies video is terrible, and seems to be regarded as a work of artistic genius for reasons I can't possibly comprehend.

Game of Thrones had some shit but throughout. It was never a perfect show, it was always a cheesy, overwrought indulgence.
On the whole I enjoyed it, but it's but after the entire Sandsnakes stuff nothing in the last two seasons seemed that bad.
Last Jedi was the best Star Wars film since The Empire Strikes Back.
I disagree with Parasite being a middle class comfort blanket, none of the classes came off well, it's not a comment on how crap everyone is at every level of society.

My point exactly, every class except the non present middle class, that was sat comfortably with their popcorns on the other side of the fourth wall, laughing at the silly rich people, and lazy poor people.

Almost all, if not all, the 80s action films are shit. Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Aliens, Robocop ,Predator, Die Hard etc.... You do talk some shite. Meh. Cheesy wank that only appeals to teenage boys. Ah, the glory days of Tango&Cash, Rambo, Iron Eagle, Cobra, Top Gun

Ecosse is technically right though:
ROTLA - fantasy adventure Aliens - horror Robocop - dystopian sci-fi Predator - horror Die Hard - thriller
Not a single action flick in sight.

Yeah, that was sarcasm..... Ah. It seemed like you were saying the second list was better than the first. Not my intention, my intention was to shit over 80s action films in general and I used a few big name stinkers to illustrate my point Let's face it, we only enjoyed them as we were kids at the time and they're barely watchable. Can anyone seriously watch dross like Top Gun with a straight face and not die of cringe?

How can you forget it's a Christmas film? Here at Hermit Towers this gets read every Christmas Eve: 'Twas the night before Christmas, and up in the tower, everyone was partying, except one wallflower. John McClane missed his wife; things just weren't the same since Holly had moved west and changed her last name He tried to win her back, but still she said no, while unbeknownst to them, there was trouble below. A truck had pulled up, and who should disembark, but fourteen men whose intentions were dark. Yes, it's every bit as awesome as it sounds.

What people don't realise, is that Die Hard is a film about Pagan traditions to celebrate the Winter Solstice

Dr Who is a children's TV programme. This was a wildly unpopular opinion back on RPS, but that didn't change the fact that I'm right.
Star Trek should have been left to die decades ago and was a mixed bag at best. Come up with new sci-fi, there is no benefit in continuing with half a century of baggage.
Old games are bad. This is so unpopular that I have to clarify so as to avoid inciting violence: old games were good, and if you enjoy playing old games then you do you, but old games now - they're bad. Stop recommending them to people new to a genre or gaming in general - new games are better.

Even the best graphic novels are just comics with pretentions and in no way equivalent to a decent actual novel.
