Yeah the dancer is great and so is every sekiro boss. . I think lies of p wants to be Bloodborne but they stuck old Ds combat mechanics in. Unless it's just because of my build weapons and doesn't affect other classes. Boss fights are infuriating because each action takes approximately 45 mins to execute so by then you've pressed the next action. By this point the boss has started it's 28 hit unlimited stamina combo and no matter how small the hit you ALWAYS get staggered out of your action. Add to that you can't cancel inputs mid fight like sekiro and you've got a rage bringing system in boss fights. I think my main beef is how you are always staggered mid swing of a 10 tonne weapon, even by the smallest enemy in the game. So often in boss fights a simple one swing attack can be a danger. Edit thank god only two bosses have taken more than 1-2 attempts. That bitch yesterday took more attempts than the whole rest of the game and she really highlighted how fucking annoying the system is.

The dancer isn’t just my favourite ds3 boss but one of the best video game bosses ever. The design, the moveset, the boss arena, the music. It’s a bloody brilliant encounter. Couldn't agree more even if I tried really, reaaally hard. Her almost liquid moveset is brilliant!
Gosh, I desperately want to play DS3 again...

Deleted..fuck that, really not worth the anger. It's gone from a game where I didn't die for the first 1/3 of the whole game to then dying maybe 5 times in the second third to the last bosses being fucking wank.
I checked a YouTube vid and boss didn't look too bad as a fast build with some knife thing. My character is too slow to get attacks in before the next unlimited stamina barrage. Zzzzz

Sounds like I have a lot to look forward to. I'm still making my way up the tower. Think I must be nearly there.

Ha after watching YouTube turns out I could have completed it if I picked the other option! That boss before pissed me off enough so I couldn't be bothered to learn the err final optional boss. I hope you aren't a slow strength build that gets their attacks staggered on everything.
Those last few bosses when I beat them I didn't react, I was too pissed off and when I beat them it was just random luck of how much bs was thrown at me. In BB, nioh 2 and sekiro I would celebrate a hard fought victory as it felt like I nailed it like when I first beat genichiro. When I beat these last few in P I just carried on with zero feeling of accomplishment.

Enjoyed the feeling of getting better at the game as I progressed. Eventually beating sword saint felt really satisfying, and then even more satisfying was starting a new game and absolutely wiping the floor with Genichiro in the opening sequence, remembering how how hard he was when you first started the game

That cathedral. Not a fan. Not a fan. Agreed. The platforming parts are a bit terrible in this game (and much, much more in LotF, hate those with a passion), especially with those cunts on the other side hitting you. Good thing is that you can activate a shortcut once you are on top and bypass them on subsequent goes.

I got past it eventually but it really was something else to combine two of the worst aspects of Soulslike games: platforming and poison. Especially shit platforming with tiny beams.

We quick sesh before I went out this morning and it was third time the charm for Simon as well it seems. Again, bit sloppy but he's dead, and that's all that matters.

Think I’ve finished. Not gone to ng+ yet. Like to just faff around.
Ultimately though I really liked it. I still personally prefer LotF over this despite its performance woes. But this turned out to be far better than I first thought and it’s really fucking good. Very impressed.

They were difficult. I think I lucked out because I can guarantee there was zero skill involved. It essentially involved me sweating profusely whilst mangling the controller in my hands and cursing repeatedly.
Which is, in fact, my normal boss routine.
Anyway. I'm off to fight more automatons. In Paris this time. Time for Steelrising!

Even though the last 2/3 bosses were very unhealthy for me I'm tempted to start a new character, speed build rather than fat slow build. I'll also pay attention to the characters and story this time around.

I'll also pay attention to the characters and story this time around. I'd say, go Advance and use the elemental weapons. The salamander dagger and the electric coil can do wonders, not to mention you'll get access to a Whirligig Saw for your BloodBorne-style puppet hunting

Agility, whatever it’s called, seemingly gets the best or at the very least the most boss weapons.
I’m not usually an agility guy but I picked it by accident this time and it seems like the favoured build by the devs at least.

Finished this. Final boss wasn't too bad when I was able to just hit it really really hard. The boss weapon from the previous boss was what helped me crack it in 3 or 4 tries, that thing busts heads, and nearly makes up for the relative lack of Motivity boss weapons!

I’m high in a church. It’s felt hard but fair so far, but inching along rafters to get yeeted off by some fat corruption fucker with no stargazer in sight is testing my patience. Have I got more rafter action to look forward to, or does the game get good again?
Cheers

Depending how high you are, and if youre getting slapped off rafters, youre virtually done. Youve got one relatively easy mandatory boss and one fairly hard optional boss left.
