Just fought laxisa or what ever. Wow I can tell this is going to be total fucking bs. Got second phase to about half health first try but it's none stop bs.

Played for about 30 minutes this morning to see if I was going to like it, and I do, so I think I'll be carrying on with it for a bit. At least until Avatat Bumtiers of Shamdora launches anyway. Any tips for a newbie? It is recommended to master parrying, especially on bosses, as it leads them to a weaker stage (where a heavy attack deals a lot of damage) and eventually to a stagger stage (where you deal even more damage). However, if you cannot parry consistently, instead of feeling guilty, try to block their attacks at least, as it will let you reclaim some of your lost health. Also, their rage (see: red) attacks cannot be blocked, only perfectly parried or dodged, so dodge them. Keep in mind that dodging while locked-on to an enemy behaves differently than dodging while not locked-on. Finally, experiment with changing the handles to your weapons around (once this becomes available) since this changes the moveset and speed of your weapon and could suit your play-style better.

Taken down the first boss and told my first lie. Got him on the 3rd go. I made harder work of it than I needed to as my hands started spazzing out and getting all a bit button mashy. It seems I'm going to need a bit more time for my aging arthritic hands to get used to pressing different buttons so I'm going to spend some time practising parries with the boxing dummy and running around the starting area.

robthehermit Another thing to keep in mind: when it comes to bosses, it pays to have some throwing objects handy (cells, thermites and carcass bottles), as these are kind of overpowered and can help you deal that crucial last damage from afar. Around mid-game you will have access to a merchant that sells them for a decent price and he will become your friend LOL

The only things I use is heals, the wish cubes and the grinder.

Got to LOVE a boss with never ending attacks and infinite stamina. No jank in this game the last page said, everything balanced with no bs.

It's reminding me of the bs final boss in elden ring. Just hitting the fucking twat is hard enough.

Meh not sure I'll bother to carry on. Phase one is okay, still a ten+ hit combo is fucking bs but phase two my god it's right up there with the shittest bosses I've ever faced. Nameless king, elden beast, kos.

Of course, you won't know if a boss has a second health bar until you've got through the first. Think of it this way: if a boss seems really, really hard, it's probably got a worse second phase with a sweet new health bar.
Good luck!

EDIT: As for Laxasia, IIRC, keeping your summon alive for longer was crucial for me, as the summon was getting some heat instead of me, so I'd suggest having the wish cube loaded with a couple of revive summon cubes may be proved helpful.

I hate the final boss so much that I'm spending Friday evening relaxing in Calrath in LoftF. Talk about being a sucker for punishment.

Visit the merchant at the Red Lobster and load up as many throwables as you can carry. Also, load up your cube with the heal summon item. Throw bombs at her when she is stationary mostly during the 2nd phase (easier said than done). Let the summon take most of the heat and heal him when necessary (if possible twice). Try to parry her lightning attacks. Try to circle around her back, while she is busy with the summon.
I'm sure that you can do it

I'm sure that you can do it The biggest thing I found is that she is super weak to acid. I maxed the acid spear thing to kill her but acid grindstones on your main would work just as well.

Did on 27th try. Yeah acid is good but you need to hit her for that to work. I used acid each time on first phase. The winning go was total bs as well. Tbh I'm not even sure how she ended up dead as it wasn't a very good go either. Fucking shit boss. Several combos in lightening mode you could not really see wtf was going on and I find parry in this really inconsistent Vs other games.

Nameless King is an amazing boss. One of the best My problem with Nameless King is the first phase when he's on the dragon, because it falls into the classic problem of a boss flying/teleporting around so much that it heavily screws with your lock-on and/or camera. Some of the dragons in Elden Ring also had that to a lesser degree, and then there's bosses like Magoichi in Nioh, a couple in Wo Long (I remember one flaming demon with a scythe in particular) and so on. Ironically, with how much the Elden Beast moves around, it barely takes to the sky at all (thank God) so it doesn't run into this particular issue at least

Ironically, with how much the Elden Beast moves around, it barely takes to the sky at all (thank God) so it doesn't run into this particular issue at least I was going to specify his second phase but I think he's called something else for the bit on the dragon and that part is just a bit slow but not really difficult I don't think, so assumed bichii meant the second phase in particular. DS3's lock on is generally quite patchy. The Demon King is a massive pain because of it
I also just really like his design and the feathery dragon. As dragons go, it's quite a cool one
The second phase feels so good though. It's almost a constant stream of attacks and dodges. When you get into the rhythm of it, it's such a rush that doesn't end until the fight is over

The rhythm I get into is holding up the dragonslayer armours shield, blocking every one of his attacks and then hitting him until he’s dead.

Shields are nice, but not if they engender passivity That Bloodborne Wooden Shield description is up there with the likes of the Fallen Knight's set pants from DS3 when it comes to my favourite flavour text I.e congratulations, you're wearing the pants of someone who soiled themselves while fleeing

Nameless King is an amazing boss. One of the best IIRC, I spent more than enough time getting summoned for Nameless King along with the Dragonslayer Armour and my favourite DS3 boss, the Dancer
DS3 had some really great bosses!

The dancer isn’t just my favourite ds3 boss but one of the best video game bosses ever. The design, the moveset, the boss arena, the music. It’s a bloody brilliant encounter.
First time I went up against nameless king was nuts. I thought he was totally insurmountable. Used to spend ages outside trying to summon and failing. So many summon signs but they were being grabbed before you could get one.
