Just caught up. So many great lines. Hooray for Fuckywood. At one point I was like "this is what the Apprentice SHOULD be." How do I follow that? He just promised them eternal life!

I'm behind with my usual viewing schedule, I didn't manage to sneak in my early Monday morning breakfast episode.
Once work is done I'm looking forward to some brilliant awfulness!

The conversation is absolutely brutal. That's not a spoiler because it's a program about conversations but when you see the one you will know what I mean.
Also Greg 😂

This show is pretty good huh? Would have to fumble the ball pretty hard at the end to not be considered one of the best shows ever. Crazy that you can just name any actor on it and you'll feel an acting award is justified.

Ending was brilliant, those two are exceptional and MM in particular plays Tom so well. But I am a tiny bit worried with just three hours left... Doesn't feel like ending territory but does feel like it's got quite a lot of story left after Kendal's comments! Kendal's arc this season has been great.

So interesting to see Romans breakdowns. He's trying to be as ruthless as possible to get closer to Roy. I did laugh because if you watch back at him going off on Connor and Connor says there's only one person here that doesn't think I'm a joke, you can see Mattson pointing at himself in the background.

I thought it was a 9/10 episode rather than 10/10 or 11/10. I found there was something... unconvincing about the conversation. Can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe I'm just in denial because I keep finding myself sympathising with Wambs, and then re-realising he is a terrible person every other scene.
Greg was incredible as ever.
And the constant references to Wambs/Shiv's red wine... fucken lol

Roman's absolutely horrible at everything to do with leadership but I do feel a bit bad for him. Not sure when his transition from weirdo to possible human took place but there was a period where I was rooting for him.
I'm Team Kendall though, have been since the start.

I remember watching the first episode thinking Roman was the most sane and then he pulled that stunt about giving $1m to the kid if he can get a home run. Even with this episode you feel such sympathy for Tom despite a few scenes earlier he was mock crying over many employees getting the sack. Show does such a good job of that balancing act.

They're all dicks. All of them. And yet...
I don't know how they're going to conclude this with satisfaction because I'm not sure what satisfaction looks like in this instance.
Utterly brilliant storytelling.

For a while, I was routing for Greg, and I am still not sure if he's an idiot or knows what he's doing, but he's not a nice person and certainly has no morals. So that makes them all c**ts to some degree.
The show is brilliant at making you have some sympathy for them all at some point, but then snatching it away a few episodes later.
No idea how it's going to end, hopefully with them all getting some sort of comeuppance. Still expecting the Kendal wedding incident to come back, and more than a couple of them are probably in massive violations of tax/finance laws.
Whatever, I have faith it's going to be a dramatic (and hopefully satisfying) finale.

Greg is - or has become - just as awful, as you indicate. He's still funny as hell (Greg the robot, that firing scene). Apropos of Greg and Roman's arcs there was a telling moment in episode 4 when Kerry crashes the wake and Greg uses it to suck up to Marcia, mocking Kerry, while Roman shows her some genuine compassion. It's quite the turnaround from the tone-setting million dollars incident in the pilot.

As it's HBO I expect them to do a GoT and make Greg head of Waystar.

Roman to be sent to the wall. You heard it here first.
Actually, that will probably be Ken. Roman's last scene will be him on a ship, off to the explore the West, standing on the bow. Jerking off.

Still expecting the Kendal wedding incident to come back Fully expecting Shiv or Roman to play that card when she learns she's about to get cut out by Kendall.

Episode 8. Not enough superlatives. How the hell are they maintaining the level of quality of S4. I think they're going all the way with this, and we have a genuinely all-time classic season on our hands. Overall, an incredibly intense, grim and grimy episode but that wasabi / "it's not that lemony" scene fucking killed me. Brilliant to place some absurd slapstick bang in the middle of the drama.

I’m not expecting it to get wrapped up in any normal way. I can see it being left without whoever is in charge, or clear who isn’t and that’s more or less it.

This show is gonna be one of the all time greats. To go from despising Roman last episode to having my heart break for him...even Ewans speech, amazing I'm fine about it wrapping up on its own terms but I do wonder how they'll wrap it all up with 1 episode left.

The quality just doesn't relent. That one was incredible.
It's in my top 2 dramas of all time but I'm not sure yet if it's first or second. The last one (sob) will of course weigh heavy on that but I have faith it will be fantastic.
I do wonder whether it's a show I could rewatch though.

Greg for US CO / puppet. Epic. Feels like one of those few shows where everyone is at the top of their game, no weak departments, whole thing just rising up to the top of great dramas. Gonna be so sad when it's done.
