Nobody in the upper ranks seems to be appointed by ability. I see a big part of the show as a study in nepotism.

I suppose Greg is the closest to a good guy. One thing I find a bit much is just how incredibly useless Tom is which Logan would see through from a like of, shocked that he would appoint him to such a position. Also, not sure what Shiv sees in him beyond pissing dad off. I think it's been mentioned a few times that Shiv met Tom when she was in a particularly "down" moment in her life and he was there to pick up the pieces. I think he's basically her sounding board for when she needs to plot against the family. |

Just caught up with Monday's episode and it was a cracker! I think Tom informing his advertisers that the FBI had begun a raid of the building may be my favourite Succession moment ever.

I must admit, I was finding season 3 a little bit of an anti-climax after season 2, but last nights episode got it right back on track for me. Adrian Brody's character was suitably awful and the beach scene with Logan and Kendal was some of the strongest acting yet seen on the show. Bravo!

I must admit, I was finding season 3 a little bit of an anti-climax after season 2, but last nights episode got it right back on track for me. Adrian Brody's character was suitably awful and the beach scene with Logan and Kendal was some of the strongest acting yet seen on the show. Bravo! I thought Adrian Brody was great as well. Watching Greg with Logan was amazing, completely shitting himself the whole time. So disappointed in Greg, was hoping he'd lamp Tom and stay with the right team. |

This episode massively benefitted from having subtitles on. The dialogue was so fast, sharp and witty, it was hard to keep up.
Also Tom brilliantly summed up two and half seasons of the show with one killer line:
"My hunch is you’re going to get fucked. Because I’ve seen you get fucked a lot. And I’ve never seen Logan get fucked once."
