Secret Level a gaming anthology series, 15 stores inspired by your favourite games. Kinda interested in this as it's from the people behind Love Death & Robots.
40k, sifu, Kratos, armoured core ...

The AC fanbase is melting down a bit at the sight of that pilot...

Robocop tv series coming.
At least they won't tone it down.

Robocop tv series coming. At least they won't tone it down. It'd better be on the same kind of level as scene 27. I'll accept nothing less.

Kiryu looks a bit weedy in that trailer but Majima seems to be perfect.

Yeah, if anyone is going to push things beyond breaking point it's Amazon. Interesting that ad-blockers work on it though. It suggests they are using client-side ad-insertion tech rather than server side, which they sell their own version of through AWS. I guess they don't think it's worth it.

(Good) adlockers are surprisingly effective. YouTube, UK terrestrial streaming: they all get ads blocked if done properly. It's always easier to just go "ads now" and then redirect to an ad server to the adverts: after all they work better when targeted, right? When the browser just gets sent to 0.0.0.0 and nothing happens: straight back to your regular programming.
There's a continuous arms race between streaming services and the devs of unlock origin playing whack a mole with each other. It's quite a fun spectator sport.

Had 2 minutes worth of ads yesterday at the start of a show.
Then another 2 minutes at around the 12 minute mark. Didn't finish the episode as one I would have a 3rd set.

This made me bother to find some Amazon specific lists for my pihole. Don't know if they work yet as I watch so little on Prime.

I've just been downloading Prime stuff I might want to see now.
We barely buy anything off there anymore so it's not worth the monthly payment for delivery either. I've let it go on because it's "only 9 quid", but I see no reason to carry it on anymore.
Buh bye time.

Aye, I'd been coming around from my high seas sailing days, but this and my D+ sub being locked at the ad tier have just prompted me to spend a little time rejigging my automation. I found prime ads to be especially jarring, as they load at potato quality. You suddenly go from a nice clean 4K presentation to some soupy bollocks.

Remember when you could skip a YT advert after 3 seconds.
Fun times.

Youtube has been doing this annoying thing recently where it says something like "A longer ad for fewer ad breaks" and shows you like 2 minutes of ads in one go. Then does the same thing again about 5 minutes later. Fewer ad breaks my ass!

The ads have got utterly ridiculous on YouTube, again I usually use my PC to watch so I don't see them but if I just want to watch on my TV it's got to the point now it's like you're seeing ads so frequently that I just can't be arsed a lot of the time. You start watching a ten minute video and 30 seconds in you're seeing another set of ads.
The price of YouTube Premium to get it without ads is absolutely ridiculous really, they should just do an ad free tier but no you've got to have the music as well even if you don't want it.

I'm on Basic (100GB) package for Google One and will prob need to move up a tier to Standard (200GB) soon. Would be nice if one of the benefits was a reduced ad time. It isn't but one can dream.

I hate ads so do have YouTube premium... But another driver was to stop the kids from getting any when we do yoga or kids fitness videos on the TV.

Not wanting to spend any money but getting annoyed at the messages about my Google Drive/Gmail running out of space I signed up to the 100 gig tier when they're offered it to me for 3 months at no cost then 16 quid I think it was for a year. Snapped that up as I have been using Google Rewards for ages so it cost me nothing, nearly at enough credit to pay for next year too.
They do seem to not want to have my Morrison's receipts any longer though, guess they got bored when it was just for a meal deal or some doughnuts (easily the best of the own brand supermarket's).
