The Darkness would definitely be interesting to try. I have heard some positive comments about the hub and apparently better atmosphere and story (?) than the second one.

I quite enjoyed it on the 360 I think it's the 2nd game I played on the system after Gears 1.

The first game is leagues ahead of the second. I absolutely loved it.

A remake for a remake.

The first two Thief games remastered and ported to consoles would be nice. Set the movement speed to the analogue stick and a few QoL features like a weapon/item wheel and they'd be perfect
Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines as well. Keep the audio and redo everything else. Can't believe no one has ever done this. It's one of my favorite games of all time, with all the jank. If they brought the rest of the game up to standard, it'd be something else

I mean the community patch for it is great it's so good it's part of the official game sold on GOG, it fixes so much stuff and adds cut content too. That reminds more info on the sequel is being announced in October, I'm amazed it wasn't cancelled.

I remember there being two different fan patches when I last played it (yonks ago). I wasn't a fan of the one that added in new content. Revamped gameplay and visuals would be bloody great

...as long as they patch in inverted Y-axis control...
I cannot, for the life of me, understand how I managed to finish the original without it...

I’d give both my bollocks for the first two Thief games. Erm. I’m not sure who to though. Does anyone want my bollocks?

Though I guess if you'd port it you could as well shiny it up a bit. I just don't have much trust that they wouldn't ruin it in the process. Once people get it into their heads to significantly start changing things you don't know where they'll stop. Or how much sense will be present.

Since those Max Payne remakes were announced they've gone a bit quiet. Perhaps we'll find out more after Alan Wake 2 is out the door.

Wouldn't mind some basic remasters to make some Abandonware RTS' available/playable again. Tiberian Sun, Dune 2000, Emperor - Battle for Dune, Red Alert 2 and Generals are the ones that mostly come to mind. Not to speak of less well known or remembered ones like Dominion - Storm over Gift 3.
Some others like Star Trek - Armada and Submarine Titans have already become available again on gog, so there is some hope. Probably less so with EA being involved, but who knows.

I couldn't go back to their control scheme if they've kept them.

There's a small clip of one of the Egyptian tombs where they show a before and after swipe and I swear the before looks so much better.

It looks a bit like they’ve put a smoother more rounded PS2 Lara into the still lego made PS1 environments and enemies then just dialled the brightness right up in places.

I think it looks good. If it's the clip where she's running along sand past a sphinx thing, I think the remastered shot looks great
You can swich back to the original graphics anyway

I'm quite excited for this.
Hopefully the tank controls have been ditched, though.

As for my own remake/remaster wishes, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a big one as long as they keep the OG battle system. The recent entries have been getting better but TTYD was basically peak gameplay in the series for me. Just keep the story as is, give the graphics and soundtrack an update and maybe add in a bigger postgame besides the Pit of 100 Trials (hell, bundle it with a remaster of the original, too, as long as we're dreaming) and I'm good. Welp I still do wonder how Nintendo has been sitting on F Zero for so long? I mean even a F Zero 99 kind of game in the vein of Tetris 99 would be ridiculous. Double welp
