I'm not massively interested, but it always strikes me as weird that the Uncharted games are only on PC starting from about #4 (i think).
I'm not going to start a franchise at #4!

Uncharted 1 and 3 aren’t great. 1 is very primative in regards to level design and 3 is “by the numbers” with some spongey enemies (which feel out of place for the series).
Personally, I was exhausted after 3 and never went back.

I really liked 1 & 2.
Never finished 4 as it got very monotenous.

1 was ok but as the Devs said they were learning the PS3 as they were making it so they didn't really have the time to really work on the gameplay. 2 is such a massive step up and it's probably my favourite of the PS3 versions. Hated 3, they royally fucked up the aiming and had to patch it because it was so bad. I also didn't get on with it because almost every enemy would attempt to melee if they got close and there was always a cunt in a corner shooting you at the same time, usually a shotgun heavy and it just became a slog. 4 was just excellent but too long and Lost Legacy is probably my overall favourite.

I think the Bluepoint remasters of 1-3 smoothed out a lot of these rough edges, from what I've read.
They still seem dated now, of course - particularly compared to 4/Lost Legacy - but I still enjoyed them, especially 2 and 3.

Ah man, the end of 2 was infuriating. I left the series well alone until the remasters, did enjoy 4 though.

I was in a weird place where I started the Uncharted games with 3, so I like that more than the first two. Actually like 2 the least. đź‘€
1 maybe played a little clunkier than the latter two, but I liked the vibe, the banter, the Indiana Jones South American setting. My biggest problem with it was that often it’d toss you in small rooms with endlessly spawning enemies and it’d get to be too much at times. There was a bit in like an interior temple area where there was knee-high water around the room; and a shit ton of Ninja Gaiden-style armored military dudes with rocket launchers, snipers and off screen sneak attacks would run in. Really pissed me off.
2 improved the feel and mobility a bit, and offered a bigger variety of locations, but the respawning enemy rate wasn’t much improved from the first. That train section everybody talked about back in the day, I hated. And this being the last entry of that PS3 trilogy, I really burned out on it.
3 had a similar feel to 2, which I think was most people’s complaints at the time. More of the same, not fresh enough. But playing it in that weird 3-1-2 order, not only was it fresh to me, but I saw the gradual improvements. To mobility, aiming, use of explosives, level design, hand to hand combat, story. I liked the little things like being able to grab things in your environment in a fight. Whacking goons with a billiards ball or a frozen fish were fun. The story of Nate being tired and Elena and Sully trying to get him to retire, with flashbacks to his childhood, was great. And most importantly, the balance was perfected, with much more manageable enemy placements.
I played 4 after some time, but I almost didn’t want to for a couple of reasons, the public ousting of Amy Hennig being one, but also the ending to 3 being perfect. In the end, 4 made some nice game design choices, particularly to mobility. Launching off a vine to punch your enemies in the back as a big example. But its story was nowhere near as strong, and the entry as a whole felt unnecessary.

For whatever reason I never finished 3. Got as far as the ship and possibly just got fed up with the wonky controls. (it had awful dead zones at launch IIRC)
I've got a soft spot for 1 and in my mind it's my favourite of the series, but that's probably some serious rose tinted glasses.

I want a Betrayal At Krondor remake. And when I say remake, I mean they should still use photos for the characters, but hi-res ones.

I was just looking it up and there was one called Roland Goes Square Bashing. I bet Sir Alan had a chuckle at that

Inspired by one of Spooky's posts in another thread, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a game I'd love to be able to play on PS4/5.
Maybe it'll actually happen at some point, now that Konami appears to have got its shit together re the Metal Gear franchise?

It's amazing how many classics are just stuck on the PS3.

Absolutely... and this makes it sting all the more when classics like Red Dead Redemption get such shoddy, half-assed ports to newer hardware.
I never thought I'd see the day when I'd praise Konami while simultaneously criticising Rockstar, but here goes nothin': I'm much more excited about the forthcoming Metal Gear compilation than the Red Dead cash-grab.
