Although I know it will never happen I would like a Sega 3D arcade racers pack featuring remastered versions of all the '90s and '00s games: Daytona, Sega Rally, Scud Race, Indy 500, Outrun 2 etc etc I'm remaking my own posts.

Watched the trailer which then took me to the 'What Happened' video and as soon as he started talking about EA I knew it was going to take a bad turn. "Just warn me if I have to fuck a horse to open a door" Art.

Shadows of the Damned was decent enough from what I remember, although I never did finish it. Big boners abound!
Can't remember if the controls allowed you to move and shoot at the same time. RE4 clunkyness might not work well if it's a straight up remaster.

You can move and shoot.
I'm now here for the Sega Racing Games Collection.

Shadows of the Damned is certainly not a remaster I would have predicted, then again Lollipop Chainsaw will also be returning, maybe they're going to strip-mine that entire generation because production of new games has slowed or it's just the economy of lots of games that were made with the same middleware tools so porting is less of a headache.
Shadows of the Damned was Unreal 3, just porting to more contemporary middleware probably gives you lots of improvements for 'free'.

Nox
I played that game as a teen so many times.
Just bring it to modern resolution, improve lighting and allow key mapping including to mouse and viola. Great game!

Nothing official yet, but a rating for Quake 2 Remastered seems to have been spotted in Korea...

Having just finished Shadow of the Colossus, with The Last Guardian next in the queue, I can't help but wonder why Ico never got the remake treatment.
I'd sure as hell like to see it happen.

Probably because none of the Team Ico releases have ever been successful; even when remastered and remade.

Really? You surprise me - I figured Colossus must've done pretty well for Sony, if they saw fit to release it on three successive PS generations!
'Tis a pity.

They’ve tried to make a big hit, but it’s always failed to find an audience. As much as nerds like me like to give them shit for shuttering their Japanese studios, at least as far as the Team Ico games have been concerned, they’ve tried multiple times to give them a spotlight. I’m pretty sure all of them have been Plus monthly games at some point, too.

i think they released a modded rom of that! Dreamcast rom with the English script of the canceled Xbox version. Haven’t played through it yet myself, but if you fancy a look, it’s out there. They being modders and not Sega themselves, of course

Ico was always just a cult classic, and I guess The Last Guardian was never going to justify its 10 years in development even if it had been a big success (and I think it was not). But yeah, at least SOTC was quite successful and very influential.

I assumed, perhaps naively, that Ico's legacy would've justified a remake all by itself: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ico#LegacyNaive or otherwise, I was at the very least incorrect! It's a real shame.

I remember the Fry’s Electronics near me (RIP) selling the PS2 copies for $7 a piece when they weren’t selling. Really regret not buying 5 and ebaying them it jumped up to like $250 a few months later. Nobody was buying them.

If only PlayStation's backwards compatibility was as good as Xbox's!

Yeah. I’m surprised they haven’t put them up as PS2 Classics like they’ve done with Dark Cloud and Jak. The PS3 remasters were nice, because they improved the framerate a bit from the old PS2 versions.

Yeah, the Blockbuster down the road from me always seemed to have a dozen or so copies around 2005-6. I had no idea what it was at the time.
