Yeah SR2 is my favourite.
They are all a bit janky when you play them in co-op though which is a shame as it's how they are best experienced.

for GTA fix, I remember Sleeping dogs was good (it was free on Games with gold few years back, so you might have added it to your account if you had Gold) Shame they never made another game

Sleeping Dogs is great, and I've been wanting to replay that myself lately. Might be nice on Series X with the FPS boost.

Love Sleeping Dogs and really hope the IP isn't just dead and buried now. I think Sleeping Dogs is awesome. I still love the game, but I don't expect Squeenix to do much with it anymore. It's been an entire gen, almost a decade at this point. Devs got put onto making some spin off MMO instead of a sequel, it didn't do very well iirc and shortly after the studio shut down. |

I think Rockstar decided they had to have something out for the 20th anniversary of GTA III, so whatever they ended up with was getting released regardless.
From a production standpoint if they'd been taking this seriously they would have been going through a process of iteration on software tools for updating assets four or five years ago, seeing how they worked updating a single game like Bully then taking what they learned into the upcoming project.
Maybe they can take things forward and do better next time for the 20th anniversary of Bully.

Sleeping Dogs was alright but all the busy work stuff was of the worst, most boring kind (which might have been normal for the time, to be fair) and the main character was a bit of a twat

From what I hear, the reissued PC versions have also had their music tracks removed, so it's still not a great deal. Unless you bought them before they were removed. Meaning they must have two different versions of the same games up for download on their servers. Funny how that works.

The thing that is going to stop me buying it is that it's been done from the mobile games and so unless they completely redo it, it's always going to be gash.

Since physical copies of this have already been produced and they were perhaps expecting to sell a fair few over the Christmas shopping period there's a possibility that a 'bargain' could be had come early next year if bad word of mouth loses them sales.
Somewhere in the region of £10 is where I'll bite, just for the sake of curiosity and inducing Pokémon seizures every time it rains.
