Itโs better than it was, but itโs definitely not Kill Team. TBH to get the most out of Necromunda you need to get properly into the fluff. So this will probably end up as a โpaint and displayโ thing, but Iโm cool with that. The โmunda models are awesome. They are very nice. I've seen some brilliant conversions based off of them as well. Nothing on an oldschoolsavant level, but damn good nonetheless I think I blushed reading this...and watch this space.

He can still finish them up as Immortals right? They're a solid datasheet Oh yeah, he just wanted Deathmarks as they can teleport. Apparently. He's got a decent collection now - warriors, immortals, a doom Scythe and some dragon thing that cost a fortune. He hasn't played much of the game yet mind. Sure he'd appreciate more though! What have you got and we can work something out! Cheers mate. I'll sort through the sprues and let you know what I've got this weekend Happy days: I've got a sprue of 5 Deathmarks/Immortals. Oh. Make that 2 sprues!

I have given up on painting the set I got. I just really hate the dour unfun grimdark of the orcs and gold warriors I got in the big box set. (Dominian?)
Didn't want to waste my paints I bought so had a proper look around my local shop. Found Gloomspire Gitz Fanatics who I love, and the Gloomspite Gits starter pack with the squigs and trolls. Fucking rip off prices these days, but I am really looking forward to painting. I also am intrigued to see if fanatics are still as lethal to you as the enemy these days.

Legion specific head upgrades.
I assume they are rated 15+ because anyone up to the age of 14 is likely to swallow them.

Iโm weighing up Sons of Horus as my legion and those heads are helping by looking pretty metal.

Thinking about picking up the Kill Team Moroch box that came out today (or at least the preorder did), although by all accounts thereโs nothing new model-wise in there. But also a cheap way to get some good multi level scenery.

I just scored at an antique collectibles store. Couple of old codexes from 1998, and a White Dwarf from 1987 talking about the release of Rogue Trader. Iโll get some photos when I get back home.
Also scored a mint copy of Lost Treasures of Infocom with all the feelies so Iโm quite pleased with myself.

I'm going to have a rummage through the stuff I kept in my parents attic sometime soon. 2nd Edition Codex Space Wolves, original Necromunda rulebook, and a few unpainted minatures I never got around to. I think there's a set of the original Dark Eldar jetbikes in there.

I'm still very bitter about it, I spent months on my Chaos Terminator conversions

Classic WD. How much was it? I assume you're getting those in comic sleeves asap too, they look pristine

Codexes were $2.99 each, the WD was $10. They had other WDs as well from around the same time but I only got the one with beaky marines, the others didnโt actually mention WH much, either 40K or Fantasy Battle. Mostly about Judge Dredd the RPG.

Fun, I've still got them in my Dad's attic I suspect but that particular generation of codexes are the worst. So slim, so sparse on lore or background detail. Nothing like the glory of the 2nd ed ones.

Remember when someone asked "Why can't the Imperium just push a couple of asteroids into a rebel planet, after all.... rocks are free!"
And there was a response.

Did they have Dark Eldar in 1998? I feel like that's a new (and therefore bad!) thing.

Kid wanted me to draw a 'fortnite skin' and I had zero creative ideas, so i drew a space marine. They thought it was a really cool 'robot' skin and I should send it to Epic. I tried to explain 'copyright infringement'. It wasn't great, but I'm glad to see that years of drawing space marines on my school textbooks instead of listening weren't entirely wasted. I also drew a lot of Blood Bowl characters on textbooks, and I considered trying to draw an elf blitzer... but chickened out because that's harder. PS/ Regular beaky marine, but it got Lightning Claws because I can't remember how to draw hands properly.

Yeah they were, they had so much background and stuff in them, or all that John Blanche artwork. 2nd Ed Eldar is the pinnacle though, all that background etc. but they also included Exodites and Pirates, then rules for them. Back when the codex wasn't literally just all the models currently available, still had a strong "Well you go build your own vibe".

Not warhammer, but if anyone has a 3d printer then this might be worth a look, especially as people were talking about scenery.
Go back to proper 1st edition 40k where you cobble together your army from any old units you have.
PS/ I have no idea how much it costs to 3d print stuff. But I assume it's less than 40k stuff these days Ah. That's clearly where I stopped. Maybe I never made it past 2nd edition.

Still no word on price for the big box set though. I reckon $250.
