This should work: Edit: it didn't. If you use [img'] tags around a direct link to a jpg, it should just post that and works with imgur okay, but postimg just brings you to a similarly small view. Something something bandwith on their end ? Wait. Now it works ? You can quote to see the mechanics, it updates the BBC code automatically just from using [img'] [/img'] at the ends. (I assume you're savvy enough to remove the apostrophes)

Cheers Soviet. Amended post after fiddling with your instructions and changing to Imgur.

I've been on hold for the past year since moving house, redecorating etc, but I've just got the bug again, and ordered some new technical paints and a handle.
I mainly use instar paints and find them very good, but have a few new citadel ones on the way to mix things up a bit (trying some crackle effects for my Dark Souls miniatures).
I have some fyreslayers still unopened to start once I get my eye back in, then I'm looking to assemble as many squig variants as possible for a massive squig Waaargh. Not for playing with, just for the painting 😆

That new Avatar is fucking hawt.
Bit miffed that the only chaos model is a Bloodthirster that will cost north of 150notes, but the Eldar refresh is long overdue, so I'm not bitter.

Yeah, the new plastic Eldar are really nice.
I’ve been investigating 40k this week and have decided that, after 22 years away from GW entirely, I’m coming back.

Oh, are the Eldar finally getting some love?
My mate used to have an Eldar army back in the mid 90s and I think that might have been the last time they got an update.

I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to the Eldar refresh. They were my main 40k (as well as Adeptus Titanicus/Epic) army from the late 80's to '94, when I quit and buggered off to Uni. When I returned to the hobby 5 years ago I was shocked to see that at least half of the models I had back then in metal were *still* in use! I've been collecting various armies over the past few years, but had avoided Craftworld Eldar for this reason. I'll be all over these new releases

New Avatar, rangers on bikes, Corsairs, Dark Reapers, Maugan Ra, Guardians, Warlocks, Autarchs and Shining Spears. I think that's everything.

Phew, that's a relief for my wallet, anything more interesting than Sigmarines and I would have been mighty tempted

The second issue will be worth it. Much prefer these types of orks.
But yeah, not missing out on much. Living in a small town in the arse of Ireland means I have no way of getting the mags, past the first few issues in the local chain newsagents.

My work firewall won't let me view that link, so it might contain all the details below already...but I'm thinking about a few of these issues coming my way... www.warhammerstormbringer.com/

A sub for issue 1+2 and cancel strategy is worth it for a glue top up + sharper clipers alone

My son has just had his first intro session at the local Warhammer shop. This could get expensive, couldn't it?

I have a little heap of Marines that I doubt I will ever get around to turning into a full army and would be open to offers

I dunno - he's been playing a bit with a mate but it's all Dutch to me, I am entirely clueless. Will see what direction he wants to take when he gets back later...appreciate the heads up!

Egyptian robots IN SPACE
Ebay should have heaps for cheap, they're part of the latest starter sets and the current run of the Imperium magazine

I think there is a £25ish starter edition of 40k knocking about that has a handful of Necron and Space Marines in it, that might get him started.

I started with Necrons in September! Good fun and some great units but can be fiddly making some of them. I got one of the starter kits mentioned above and they're pretty good value (compared to GW normal prices). www.hobbyworkshop.co.uk/warhammer-40-000-2020-starter-set-elite-edition.html - that's the one I got but there's a recruit edition for half the price with fewer units. I got it because it meant I could try out two armies (ended up creating both!) and learn the rules a bit. Opened a portal directly into my wallet.

We're all spods here. Whether games/TV/films/cars/Warhammer imo.
