Here’s a preview of the Librarian. I’ve got this plus all my first company stuff now ready to transfer up and base but I’ve done enough for a weekend. Will get the light box out and do them justice when done.  |

Thanks all. I think I’ll follow this approach before posting painting pics from now on - save it for one decent post instead of spamming models in turn. Will fit into my marine workflow better as there’s a lot more aftercare than with Tyranids - all the varnishing and then prep for transfers and then varnishing again and then basing.
Plus it’ll stop those of you who have a penchant for hating the paragon chapter keeping up with my spam. You know who you are.
Edited as that was supposed to be jokey but didn’t finish my thought and ended up looking weirdly attacking and accusatory 🙈😂

Is the tyranid head part of the Termi Captain's base as standard? I hate it if so, bases should be agnostic. He beats Leviathan then travels 7 million light years to fight a proper foe like Death Guard and that head is still stuck to his damn boot like the worstest dog poo.

Yes, I’m not much of one for kit bashing. I will take the bait and shake with impotent rage at the thought the existential threat of the Tyranids is not considered a ‘proper foe’, although their rules in this edition might actually bear that out!  |

The Termies are becoming more like regular marines, and the regular marines are becoming more like Termies. Pretty soon they're gonna meet in the middle. Nice models though. (oh, and the painting is nice too, i guess  ) |

The Terminators just have better proportions now. If you put them side by side they are much more imposing.
It may be heresy but helmets aside, I think the new model are objectively better.

TL:DR version, Imperial Agents rumoured to be the next codex, Deathwatch combat patrol out of stock and all assassins and Inquisitor models removed from the store. I personally feel they should have waited a bit for this and done a re-launch for Grey Knights along with it but I don’t think that’s coming.

I can't get through an entire video without skipping forward to the specific bit I want to hear about.
It sounds mean - he does great content (even for a non-player) and is obviously very in to 40K but I just can't watch it!

And back on topic. I totally agree with you on the quality of the new models. I have the new terminator box. First models bought in 30 years and they are soooo nice. The Primaris reboot got me interested in 40K again some years back and now I'm reading the books and buying the models.
I yearn to get a set of intercessors and make them all up. They are so much better than old marines.

But even their models are so much better than they used to be. FWIW I agree that the new Termie models are great. I was just surprised by how similar they seem to the non-termies.

What gets me most about it is a baddie (Cleverley) cosplaying as the goodies (Space Marines including the pinnacle chapter of Ultramar).
It doesn’t sit right. He should be something objectively bad like Orks - you can tell because of the teeth and everything.

I'm a bit pissed off that the basic Firstborn Landspeeder isn't available anymore, yet the Eldar Vyper that came out in 1997 for Second Edition is still the most current version of that, and still selling.
