Portal could be a great antidote to some of the other stuff that I dislike. Portal could end up with some really bonkers stuff, it's unlikely to be as customisable as the daddy that was the original Operation Flashpoint but the scope is far better than anything we normally get. |

Watching the videos - might just be me, but it feels like there is a weird FOV in this? It's like there's a large wide angle lens being used with all the images in the corners being distorted? Hope there is a setting to adjust this, as find it a bit distracting!

I believe the fov is on the vertical axis for some reason.

Took me a couple of hours but this finally clicked with me. Really enjoying the weapons, the grappling hook is so good. Love the big daft tornado rolling through the map. Still has its issues but I don't regret my pre-order now.

Yeah I think the first hour or two I didn't see it once, maybe because of lopsided games where one side finishes the other off fairly quickly perhaps? The following couple of hours I probably saw it 4 or 5 times, mostly from a distance. Fun seeing a gaggle of players throw themselves into it. Looking forward to see what it's like with the wingsuit.

It's difficult to find a gunner though in the attack helicopter, and players have so much health. You end up spending a fair amount of time running anti-air.
The shooting I was referring to before was the infantry stuff.

I quite like being a heli-gunner, just don't like it when the pilot bails out without warning you- especially if I'm trying to repair the bloody thing as an engy. :-)
The front gunner on the helicopter only has about 16 shells though, which do get kills if on target, but I haven't got the reticule/range thing down yet.
I preferred the tanks in previous games as my piloting skills were never as good as some of the experts out there, but haven't managed to get into one yet.

Jesus. This is running like an absolute dog on my system (8700k, 1080TI).
Whether 1080p or 1440p, Low/Medium/High settings, I'm getting anywhere between 30-40 FPS with insane stuttering. Graphics look awful in-game as well, and the menus UI seem to be super blurry ...

Ahh. Sorry, playing on Xbox so didn't know what buttons were. Played two matches of this, interesting is how I'd put it, gunplay is alright though I had to change the sensitivity settings somewhat. Obviously there's no semblance of revives going on and teamwork is lacking to a degree but I've enjoyed what I've played. Not sure about the choice of map for a beta feels like a lot of dead space between capture points if you're not in a vehicle. It is interesting that you can stay on one point if you want and not go anywhere else as the action can get quite hectic.

I like the gunplay. I didn't like that they seemed to be moving closer to CODs hyper accurate peashooter type guns. These feel a bit looser and harder to control like the older games.

Bring menu up, then press x, o etc to alter things in the corresponding direction. It took me a while to work that out on xbox. It's not the d-pad to adjust the attachments. It's very counter-intuitive isn't it? Edit: Apologies just spotted triarii has sorted you out already. |

Liking this so far, despite the bugs. Similar to BF4, which is a good thing.
And I can spot enemies! In BFV I kept getting killed by rocks, bushes, pillars... Partial colour blindness doesn't help. Gave up. No issues with any other BF game.
Looks like it's getting back on track.
