Enjoyed it so far. I think it really helped that I watched the first three episodes in one go. I think it would have felt like it was dragging otherwise.

I agree the mod chase was... Not as good as it could have perhaps been. Nice to see the guest star though.

This show is just so dull. Boba: you will all do as I say. Group of other leaders: no we won’t. Boba: ok then just don’t be mean to me.

Angry Wookie has more personality than the two leads put together.

It's more the fact that all the storytelling is so repetitive and padded - all the flashback stuff has pretty much been explained in a few sentences in the Mando, or easily left to imagination, and it's excruciating to have to watch it all play out in detail. How many times this episode did he repeat "left for dead, taken in by Tuskens" to add to the overall tally so far ? Guess the mods were only introduced to explain Fennec this week, so the nerds can shout "canon!".

And again, legendary and renowned bounty hunter Boba Fett, reduced to comedy chases in a kitchen, and I genuinely laughed when "tired of working for idiots" was banded about considering the stupidity he himself has shown - hovering over a Sarlaac or firing up Slave without opening the doors first hmmm. Should be the Book of Fennec considering Boba would be dead several times over already. Girl's pulling all the weight (and the brains).

The only bit I truly enjoyed was the rather gorgeous yeeting of the speeder gang. Lovely scene but... a man all reformed by honour murdering in revenge, who doesn't want to rule through fear but has a rancor pop by at dinner. The contradictions in the writing are really hampering any attempt to solidify a character thus far. Should've just stuck with the bad guy path instead of trying to soften him into something he never was - a Mandalorian. Save that for Pascal.

I wonder if all the bumbling is intentional, and it's just edited in a way that it's all taken at face value. I wonder how this same show would have turned out directed by Taika Waititi, having him and Morrison turn it into a quirky Kiwi comedy in space.
