There was also a Zoids comic in the UK which I actually got to read as a kid (unlike 2000AD which my mum would confiscate until I was about 11-12), which was, amazingly, by Grant Morrison. All I remember was it was a cut above other comics of the time (except 2000AD).

I have to say, i always thought boba fett's ship was a bit shit.
Compared to x-wings, y-wings and especially the imperial shizz, it was crap.

Were? My son got a Zoid Pterodactyl for his birthday this year. Excellent! I had no idea they were still around.

I was a little underwhelmed. Boba Fett is a bit rubbish, and the fight scenes are as poor as always.
The overall plot has potential but it feels like this needed more than one episode to be released to start with.

May be a Japan only thing. Yeah, they have managed to stay relevant in Japan throughout whereas in the UK we got three waves, the original 80s release (which was when the very good Zoids comic was around), a very short lived Zoids 2 range (I think in the 90s) and finally a proper third attempt in the mid 2000s of which I grabbed a few when they were discounted in Beatties for nostalgia and for when my son got older (which he showed no interest in of course). Not watched Fett yet as isolating in the nonTV room and not watching it on a phone

Yeah that was a bit lame. I've never liked the guy playing Boba Fett and having him run around the desert in his fat Elvis jumpsuit at the start was a mistake. The twi'leks all felt like some shit out of a crappy Star Trek episode too. And that fucking thing out of Sinbad The Sailor at the end.
Hopefully the episodes not directed by the Spy Kids guy are a bit better.

I can’t stand that actress that’s in it either. I’ve hated her in everything she’s been in.

Seeing a lot of people mention how cheap it looks which is what surprised me. Only Robert Rodriguez can make something so expensive look like shit.

They could hardly have TWO shows where the main guy doesn't take his helmet off. Frankly, I'm pretty impressed they managed it with The Mandalorian for as long as they did.
The thing I don't get, is that The Mandalorian was clearly basically an analogue for Boba Fett, so why do they now need a second Boba Fett show? Why didn't they just make The Mandalorian into Boba Fett?

Hard agree here, was surprised when I saw the runtime was only about 40 minutes, could have done with being at least an hour if not a full feature length episode

Not sure why they keep making Fett take his Helmet off before action scenes. They did it a few times in Mandalorian and it looked pretty bad watching a 60 year old lay the smack down.

And yet the memorable appearance is when he first appears in his armour, laying down the smack...
I liked the lack of dialogue. I liked the Gamorrean boys kicking ass. The pajama parkour guys not so much. The story was as usual, rudimentary, and I hate this modern approach of storytelling of having to show and explain everything. Here's Boba in the Sarlaac ! Here's how he escapes ! This is how the Jawas got his shit !
Try leaving things to the imagination now and again, or giving the audience some credit by showing him sans-armour, and letting us figure out the Jawa bit, but suppose it caters to the 1% who haven't seen the Mandalorian beforehand.

They explain it by skipping over so much that could been interesting. They could have had him in the sarlacc like that 127 hour film, instead of it being about ten seconds of he was in it then he got out.

Don't know how much mileage they could have got out of him fighting his way out of a giant vagina really. It did seem incredibly risky to use a flamethrower in a bag full of fart though.

Quick one, if you can:-
Will it be suitable for our nine year old?
She’s loved all Mando, and we’ve just suffered the odd swear in that (which we don’t like) as she was fine with the action, characters and storylines.
Thanks!

There’s nothing more violent or adult than Mando (so far).
