I started watching Welcome to Raccoon City last night as I was feeling a bit Resident Evil-y and thought it might put me in the mood to play something. It hasn't done that
I think sticking closer to the source material actually makes it worse. Everything feels more jarringly off
Also people really like saying "fuck" a lot

I rented that on Amazon a few weeks ago. Holy fucking shit. It wasn't just terrible, it was legitimately one of the worst films I've ever seen in my entire life. It felt like a parody and a bad one at that.
I never minded the Milla Jovovich ones tbh. Sure they were dumb and the continuity got abysmal toward the later ones but I always find them very watchable if I've got 90 minutes to kill. This was dreadful.

Why did they make Leon so thick in WtRC? I must have missed that part of his characterisation in the games The film isn't even fun in an it's so bad kind of way. It's just lame. The Netflix show has suddenly piqued my interest.
Lance Reddick as Wesker! Now that's a bit of casting I can get behind compared to Umbrella Academy guy in the latest film.

Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Zombies in Raccoon City. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Albert Wesker. From what I can gather he commands the T-Virus from an underground lab outside of the Arklay Mountains. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Raccoon City.

I think if you were doing a slightly campy boulder punching and RE6 influenced live action series the Umbrella Academy guy could have made a half decent Chris instead of being a baffling Wesker

Lots of people, myself included would perhaps argue 2 is better than 3, so I think you'll appreciate 3 more by playing that first as 2 overshadows it. 8 is quite different from them both so then play that. It's brill in its own right. |

2 is the best, 3 is a short palette cleanser and 8 is great in parts with a moment so scary I had to try and get through it over 3 nights.

Yeah Remake 2 is the best. Going to Remake 3 after 2 was quite jarring but it ends up being almost as awesome, especially repeat runs, which I love
RE8 is incredible for a while but runs out of steam IMO

Remake 2 almost spoiled remake 3 for me.
But I played it through again a while later, then again. And again. Now it's brilliant, I love bombing through it.
8 is too scary. Couldn't finish 7. The switch to 1st person made it too scary.
