The Day of the Jackal (on sky/now) Two episodes of five currently available.
It looks great, but the writing is terrible. They literally have someone spotting a sniper hiding at the back of darkened apartment over a mile away, because of the light glinting off the scope, like it's a Battlefield game and that's just how that works now.

The recent Cure Radio 2 in concert thing.
Robert Smith may look like he's melting a bit, but by god they can still play the tunes.

Edit: Jackal
I know there’s lots of stuff out to watch, but if you like the look of something just try it, don’t be put off by a review.
Yep it was ridiculous but also stylish, fun and exciting. Just about to put the second episode on. There’s lots of modern Bond influence in the presentation and it’s just as fun and daft as that.
In a similar vein, just watched the first season of Lioness (Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman, and another two leads you won’t have heard of). That was quite thrilling, albeit you’ve got the unease of the politics of all this kind of stuff intertwined with it.

I think it's fair to be put off by a single review, if there's something in the review that resonates with you.

we watched the first couple last night and liked it, will be watching more if that's in any way useful
frequently bit nonsense (I'm guessing MI6 frown on personal mobile phones in secure areas, but hey)

Junior Taskmaster
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, not sure this will quite have the legs for more than a couple of series. Going off the first episode it's going to be 5 *extremely* precocious kids all trying to be the most precocious one of the show, which kind of flies against how the normal one works with trying to get very different personalities together to see how differently a task can be approached.

Yeah we started on it last night and didn’t make it beyond the second task.

We watched it over sunday dinner and quite enjoyed it. It's not as funny as the grownup one, but it's always nice to have something aimed at family viewing. I LOLed a few times.

Mrs Nano and I have been hankering after a long series to watch but have basically watched everything at this point. So last night we started watching ER, which has 15 seasons and I've never seen it before (she used to watch it a bit when she was a teenager). The first episode was something... very of its time with sexual harassment played for laughs throughout. If it was remade today it would be called HR. We almost noped out but the second half of the episode already improved things with some decently written drama and tension. I think we're gonna give it a shot.
1 episode down, 330 to go!

ER is my all time favourite TV show.
Admittedly I didn’t watch much beyond S10 as it gets a huge cast turnover, but along the way you've got some amazing episodes coming up in S1 alone, and later on you'll be shaking your head at the shit Clooney gets away with, you'll bear witness to the absolute most entertaining pair of helicopter accidents in TV history, and you'll bawl your eyes out for the best part of a whole season.
Enjoy!

On episode 4 of Nobody Wants Some, or whatever it's called. I spend half the time wondering why the fuck Kristen Bell ruined her face. Fucking Hollywood man.
Anyway, it has its moments but I'm enduring it more than enjoying it.

The first image result for Rachel Stirling is a photo of Anna Maxwell Martin which really confused me for a sec.

Started watching Magpie (film) earlier and had one of those annoying "where do I know the actor from???" moments. This is Clem Fandango!
Ludwig E1 - I enjoyed it but my missus wasn't keen, so another one for the neverending backlog...
Walking Dead S9E10 - gave up on it after a certain event earlier in thit season (the obvious jumping off part), but thought I might as well finish it off now. It's enjoyable enough nonsense as usual.

Watching Shrinking while I've got Apple TV and I feel like a few years ago I'd have bounced off its saccharine-ness but I don't know if it's the cast or just Harrison Ford on his own in such an un-Harrison Ford role, I'm enjoying it much more than I think I should.
I reckon I could watch Harrison Ford watching paint dry so it's probably that.

Started watching Yellowstone last week. Certainly doesn’t hold back does it? Fits that Sopranos/Sons of Anarchy void quite well. Will certainly do until Red Dead 3 comes out.

Anybody been watching the new season of From? Been pretty boring imo. One or two decent episodes, then a whole load of absolutely nothing. Fell asleep during episode 9.
Reading the mental fan theories on the FB page is more interesting than the show.

Anyone interested in the new Dune series?
It seems to have snuck out with relatively little fanfare, which is a bit worrying...

I like how it's set 10,000 years before the events in the Dune films, but looks like it could've been yesterday.

Nikita season 1 rewatch
Still on the first disc and the series starts off really wellso far and pilot ep can be ropey but it was good (one ep even has stan lee cameo). Maggie Q should of been a bigger action star, shame really. Quite a few episodes to get through as its back when tv shows had 22 episodes per season but iirc season 4 was cut short
