Inspired by Bill_(not Ben), what are you currently watching?
Eastbound and Down - S1. How have I never watched this before? Danny McBride plays a washed out baseball pitcher who has to go live with his brother. Funny as fuck.

I finished Mr Inbetween yesterday, I loved it.
In a sentence: it's like Barry, a dark comedy about an hitman-for-hire, but set in Australia.

I’m watching The North Water, on iPlayer. Finished the dark and trippy episode 4 last night.
If you’re after stunning Arctic landscapes, dark and brooding whalers, and a Heart of Darkness vibe, you’re in the right place.

Some Marvel shite. I enjoyed Wanda (last few episodes not so much), Loki was decent (as a fan of the character), but I'm really struggling to get at all invested in Falcon. Quite tempted to scrap it after two episodes. The ending has already been spoilered for me anyway.
Started Nine perfect strangers too, which seems decent enough one episode in.

Watching 9 Perfect Strangers and wondering what the hell is going on with Nicole Kidman ear Don't do Scientology, kids. Even the passive stuff gives you plated earlobes with a lil' wingwang on them.

Mrs Danno is watching Junior bake off. It's quite charming. She's Canadian and didn't know who Harry Hill is, so I showed her some vintage TV Burp and she gets it* now.
*why I find him funny.

Doesn't that happen from wearing earrings that are too heavy all the time?
Another possibility is that it's been done intentionally to cover the facelift scars.

Well then, I guess I should say that I'm about 9/10ths of the way through Season One of The Outpost.
It's a somewhat generic CW fantasy show that I started watching on a whim because I didn't really have the mental energy for anything too deep or challenging. If you've watched any other CW shows then you probably know what to expect... good looking young people having fights and probably some kind of romantic interest. It reminds me quite a lot of the The Shannara Chronicles, if anyone watched that.
Despite a so-so first episode that just seemed to be chucking in *every* fantasy trope to see what stuck, it does at least manage to tie most of them together by the end of the first season. And despite most of the cast being good looking young Aussies or Americans, a fair bit of the fun comes from the British guy playing the town marshal as if he's Vinnie Jones. Bingeing the last 5 episodes was a good way to get through post-vaccination side effects.
---
Also kinda watching Back to Life, which is one of those BBC3 comedies that is more drama than comedy because it deals with dark issues and forgets to put in any actual jokes. But it's ok and does occasionally remember to be funny.
---
The kids just started watching Wolfbood on cbbc... which has surprisingly decent cgi wolves for a 2012 cbbc show. Making the main character of your werewolf show a young girl on the edge of her first transformation makes the entire monthly werewolf metaphor thing rather obvious if you're watching as an adult.
---
Oh, and season 2 of Fort Salem is here. Awesome!

Tried to go back to Supernatural and finished watching the first season. I did also watch a bit of the second one for closure, but overall I still don't like it all that much.
I'll proabably continue with Lexx, which should be interesting.

Watching Brand New Cherry Flavor on Netflix. It's an 8-part miniseries about a wannabe Hollywood scriptwriter who vomits up kittens. It's weird shit for sure. And intriguing. Little bit of Nicholas Winding Refn in its colour palate and supernatural feel.

I've tried watching Black Bear for the second time now and even Aubrey Plaza can't hold my attention. Hipster cunts arguing for 20 minutes isn't my idea of entertainment.

Well, I finished Season One of The Outpost and it's fine. Solid 6.5/10 CW show. First and last episodes were a bit naff, but most of the stuff in the middle was fun enough, if you didn't take it too seriously. I kinda respect that instead of making the final episode of the season something big and dramatic, they spent half of it trolling the viewers with regards to romantic partnerships. I may or not wander over to Season Two at some point. (I guess I should go and post this in the finished season thread too now) I guess you could say I'm also watching The Nevers (excellent), The Owl House (excellent) and Masters of the Universe: Revelation (slowly getting to decent), but they're all doing that annoying 'hiatus' thing and taking a big break right in the middle of the season. PS/ It's a sad day when even Aubrey Plaza can't hold ones' attention. I shall however take it as an opening to post my favorite awards acceptance speech ever. Amazingly, she might also have done my second favorite award speech ever.
