Never Mind The Buzzcocks
6 years later and it's back, with only Noel Fielding returning. Phil Jupitus, a comedian who really knew his music, has been replaced by Daisy May Cooper who doesn't seem to know that much about anything, let alone music.
Greg Davies is the host now, which is fine, but it seems like he's been told to lay off the guests. I don't know.
Overall the slightly anarchic punk feel has gone, despite most of the familiar rounds being there except for the identity parade round.

I finished Mr Inbetween yesterday, I loved it. In a sentence: it's like Barry, a dark comedy about an hitman-for-hire, but set in Australia. Thanks for the heads up on Mr Inbetween.
We've now watched both seasons and it was brilliant, really felt for the guy by the end.... more FG's should go and check it out and give it some love!

Not really, it all gets a bit silly towards the end. I found the scenes outside the sub were more interesting, which I'm guessing wasn't the intention.

I was never a huge fan of Fielding as Capt (but he had incredibly difficult acts to follow in Bailey and Hughes), and without Phil it's just another panel show.

Thanks for the heads up on Mr Inbetween. It has Brooke Satchwell from Neighbours, who I used to have a massive crush on back in the day! I've been kinda into dramedies over the pandemic, so I may try and check this out. Dead To Me is another good black comedy drama.

It seems to be doing that thing were innocent people with no reason to act like it are behaving guilty as hell just to string out the mystery which I really hate on shows like this

Thanks Bill, we did catch Dead To Me a couple of months back and really liked it too, hope it gets another season.

Rise of the Footsoldier: Oranges
No idea why I keep watching these. I haven't even started it yet and I'm considering a drinking game for every time someone says "cunt"
/edit I'd be dead after the first 10 minutes if I tried that...

I'm watching the Unforgiven. It's entertaining enough but I had hoped it was the film thay Russel Crowe and Gene Hackman were in about a duelling contest.

I went back to Sky Rojo after not watching it for months for no good reason. It's... a lot. I can't quite work out how I feel about it between the grim expose of what prostitution is actually like for the women involved and the pantomime elements of the rest of the plot. Maybe it's good that they're drawing people in with the entertainment aspect and hitting them with the reality as a chaser. Anyway, it's pretty good.

One episode of Vigil left to go and any pretence of it being grounded in reality appears to have completely evaporated

Chucky (syfy)
Has potential but this first episode of the new series based on the Child's Play films was pretty rough for me with some pretty terrible acting and bizarre scenes that seem to come out of nowhere.
However original creator Don Mancini is overseeing this thing and Brad motherfucking Dourif is back as Chucky so I'm in it to the end.

Currently watching The Rain (on Netflix) and Wu-Tang: The American Saga (on Stan)
Was really enjoying The Rain but it just got really weird, really fast.

Reservation Dogs new Taika Waititi produced FX/Disney+ series about Native American teenagers shot by and starring an almost entirely indigenous cast and crew. Two episodes up now and new one to follow every Wednesday. I’m one in and digging it so far.

Watching I Know What You Did Last Summer, the TV series on Prime. I've enjoyed what I've seen so far, however the people in it are all cunts so I want them to die.

You S3
Three episodes in and it's pretty entertaining so far. Hoping that the influencer gets killed off pretty fucking soon though!
Maniac
Just started this and so far so weird... Didn't seem to have much buzz about it back when it came out, but seems decent.
Toast of London - S3
Just fantastic. Trying not to burn through a season in an evening like I did recently and rationing it to one episode a night. Hi this is Clem Fandango/10

We're working our way through the X-Files. Started season 5 a few nights ago and it has been fantastic every episode so far.

Hi this is Clem Fandango/10 I am feeling very much in need of Season 4 of Toast, what happened to it? Announced a year or so ago and still no sign of it. It's moved to the BBC and Toast has gone to L.A. (Toast of Tinseltown) And will they have Clem Fandango back since he got the gig with Star Trek Discovery (i still can't take him seriously in that because of Clem)

Torn between starting X-Files and starting Firefly as to my next working from home watch.
X-Files: love it and seasonally appropriate
Firefly: only seen occasional episodes, can’t remember if I liked it

At least with Firefly it's as very short run. 14 episodes + a film.
X-Files is a bloody huge commitment!

10 or 11 seasons and 2 movies I think
It’d make me want to watch Millenium too
