11 Seasons 218 Episodes Massive fan back in the day. Millennium definitely worth a watch also.

209 episodes apparently not including the films, which is the kind of thing that puts me off even starting something like that. Currently watching Maniac which is a nice and easy 10 episode committment. /edit Google can't give a bloody straight answer on how many episodes. There's fucking loads basically!

Gone with Firefly first. Its shorter and an obvious gap in my viewing history. So far it kind of reminds me of Enterprise but that might just be the production values and lingering shots of semi-naked female crew members.

I have to say, it was a super bold move to make the first episode of Invasion as boring as humanly possible.

I rewatched xfiles a few months back and only got to season 4 or so before I binned it as it was getting more into horror than sci-fi I thought. I enjoyed the first couple of seasons, but that was it.

Although I’ve not seen them since broadcast so maybe they’re ok.

Do they ever explain why Companion is the most high status profession available in the Firefly-verse or is it just something Wheadon thought would be neat?

They don't really get a chance to explain very much, but personally I tend to prefer it that way. Maybe they'd have delved deeper into the backstory and history if they'd had more seasons.

The North Water
5 part mini series set in the 1850's following a disgraced army surgeon joining a Lancashire whaling ship as it heads into the arctic. Dark, brooding and dripping in atmosphere so far.
It's a BBC2 production and I'm genuinely suprised at the production values and cast. Reading up on it, they actually filmed the entire thing in the arctic and took the ship/set of that period along with them.
So long as it doesn't shit the bed, well worth a watch on iplayer. So far it's the best thing I've watched in ages.

Discovered a show called Naked and Afraid. It's essentially Survivor, but with naked people. One man and one woman that have never met and are now left to their own devices for 21 days. They blur out the raspberries and the bushes, so it is maybe not as interesting as it could have been, but it is still somehow intriguing to see people who have no business foraging in the wild, somehow try and survive for 21 days.
I am on season 2, but apparently there are 8 seasons! On Sky.

Foundation.
Just watched episode 1 and loved it, even with my wife huffing about it all being a bit weird and asking me why they did X,y and z, expecting me to know as I'd read the books 30-40 years ago. As it is, I'm finding some bits a bit baffling myself but it's certainly pretty.

Watched for the first three episodes of Invasion. Pretty gripping stuff even though the what is invading has yet to fully appear. Just hope the tension continues after the reveal - these sorts of stories always fall down having built up tension and interest.

The Crown, Series 1. Prior to Squid Games this was Netflix's most watched programme, and I cannnot for the life of me see why. It's the tale of someone who's has no impact on anything, including her own life. One episode's drama point was "what can the young queen do about the fog?". Nothing, it turns out.
They've made a reference to Egypt and Suez, so I'll look forward to the episode where the queen fails to solve that, either.

From the couple of reviews I've read, I get the impression that the "what is invading" is never fully revealed. Get used to lots of stories about people being pissed off with each other and some aliens in the background saying "guys, I don't know if you remembered, but we've invaded"

The twist is that the show is just super right wing, and the invaders are foreigners.

Ted Lasso Episode 1... I think I'm watching a different program to the one everyone else is raving about... or my sense of humour chip has malfunctioned. I'm not getting it yet, "splintered cricket bats up the *rsehole" doesn't have me in fits I'm afraid. I might persevere, but I'm not sure.
