I watched a few clips on youtube and it seemed very cheesy, but I won't judge it on those. I've learned that it almost always takes me more than one episode to click with anything. Unless it's by Joss Whedon.

Ted Lasso has some proper lol moments in the first series, but it's more about its warmth than anything. As with a lot of things (even the blessed Wire), some shows need a good few episodes so you get to know the characters.

Kicking off the X-Files rewatch I’ve been meaning to do since it arrived on Disney+
Although Enterprise and Firefly both being so short does sort of make me want to keep the 00s space trip going with Battlestar Galactica on iPlayer.

Finished episode 8 of Maid (Netflix).
Such an amazing show. I implore you to watch it. If you don't you are only hurting yourself and your life experience and the sad thing is you won't even know it.

Started Superstore. It's a bit clunky (only 2 episodes in) but you can see the potential. It's nice and gentle and will fill those 20 minute slots quite nicely I think (and my wife's former acting coach comes in at S4).

Doing a rewatch of Parks & Rec with my wife who has never seen it. I stopped watching a few eps into the final season because I was annoyed at a couple of character relationship changes. It will be nice to finally finish it.

Random episodes from my Tales of the Unexpected box set. Everybody should watch 'The Flypaper' episode. It's one of the most genuinely creepy things I've ever seen even all these years later.

Seven episodes into X-Files season 1 alongside my Galactica watch. Its remarkable how quickly it hits the ground running, everything that makes X-Files good is there from the very start and there are all time classic episodes almost from the very beginning too.
What an obviously great show.

You S3 - up to the "spicy" episode and its just been brilliant so far. That was just ridiculous levels of cringe-worthy viewing
The Morning Show - fancied something a little different so started this and we're just about to start the third episode of the night. I've never watched the US version of the office, but Carrel's performance has pushed that up to our next option I think.

Randomly ended up watching the first 3 episodes of Mortimer & Whitehouse go fishing on iplayer as I couldn't sleep.
What I thought would be background noise (I enjoyed both mens careers but couldn't give a monkeys about fishing,) became quite compelling. The nature scenes are beautifully shot and the discussions about coming towards the end of life (both have heart disease,) really chime with me currently. Will definitely be watching more.

Have caught a few of those and feel similarly. It does that "men of a certain age talking about feelings & stuff" with kindness & giggling. I'm really quite fond of it.

Its so much better than the typical celebrity roadtrip type show. You get a real feel for their friendship and its such a warm show even in the sad bits.

The Good Fight is back for season 5 on 4OD if you ever wanted to watch a textbook network legal drama spiral into a vehicle for increasingly surreal topical satire

Dexter returns on the 8th on Sky Atlantic. Thought it outstayed its welcome a bit but might be worth a look.

On Galactica - the chain smoking no nonsense gruff voiced ships doctor is such a brilliant character

Wanted to watch a Horror movie on Halloween, but got home from work too late and didn't have the time or energy for a movie. So I went with Crazyhead from c4. It's a horror comedy, leaning a bit more on the comedy. I could swear I know the blonde lead from somewhere, but a quick check implies I haven't seen anything she's been in. She is however the voice of Tracer(!) I haven't played Overwatch though, so it's not that.
It's kinda fun in a chaotic way. Characters with no inner filter tend to make for fun tv. I guess it's a bit like Buffy would be if the characters were british and swore a lot. Only seen the one episode though, so a bit hard to work out if it'll sink or swim. Worked well enough for the purpose of mindless late night Halloween entertainment though.

It will be nice to finally finish it. Me and the girlfriend are also rewatching this too. Third time for me and second for her. Haven't watched the last season yet though. Just onto season 4 now. Is Season 3 the best? I can't remember, but it had so many great episodes. The Burger cook off, Jerry's painting, Tom and Leslie dating, Snorke Juice. So funny.

House Season 2. Its got pretty dark in the early episodes and I hope it gets back to some lighter stuff soon... or as light as a series about people who are seriously unwell can get. The one with the little girl with cancer was a hard watch.

I need to pick a new show... Never seen The Wire or The Shield, so probably one of those.
Somebody make up my mind for me!

I love this show. It has a sort of similar vibe to things like The Detectorists, just a gentle time with some pleasing chuckles

I remember The Shield being a fairly trashy time passer. Nothing particularly special, Sons of Anarchy level of drama

Elementary. Half way through series 3 at the moment after finishing up castle. Perfect background tosh with enjoyable characters and light stories that aren't all grimdark and require my brain.
Really enjoying it while I do a sodoku or crossword with a whisky after a long day at work.

Sadly one of the last things Nelsan Ellis did.

Still watching I know what you did last summer on Amazon Prime. I am enjoying it and the weekly scheduling means I can watch other things.
