Bum cam test passed, all clear. For anyone else on the fence, get yourself checked out, it’s really not that bad.

WHAT THE FUCK HAS HAPPENED TO MY EYEBROWS??? Fuckin wiry wee grey little fuckers sprung from nowhere decide they want to be LONG. WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?!! edit: realise I should probably have this in the getting old thread. But that thread's for old people, not strapping young men in their 20s. 30 at a push. Late 30s if we're being unkind. 40 is really the new 30 anyway. I can't be in my late 40s. I just can't. I look like I'm turning into an owl they're so getting so long

Plus you get to have a good clear out of all the remnant Toblerones beforehand. Bonus.
Definitely get it done if you're in doubt. It's really not that bad. Like I've said before I found the upper GI camera far worse.

I spent the last couple of days with a slight fever going up 'n down like an elevator, bursts of cough, a runny nose and general weakness; today I tested positive for COVID, lucky me... As for the bum cam test (great for you Fake_Blood , hope no actual blood was drawn), apparently it was recently announced here in Greece that anyone over 50 y.o. is entitled to a self test for colon cancer (no, not that, stop laughing ). Anyone here knows about it?

Toblerone with a mustard coating as preventative chemo to burn any polyps off.
In all seriousness, I assume it's probably one of the faecal occult blood test dip-sticks you poke in your poop with and post away for analysis.

Actually, it works similar to the COVID self tests, in that you collect a sample of your poop and it gives you a result right away. In case the result is positive, you are referred to a doctor that will prescribe further action ie. a proper colonoscopy.

Here in Belgium they just send a post away test to anyone over 50. Two of my bum cam buddies today were there because said test was positive.

I've gone 42 years without a single bout of hay fever that I can remember, but this year it's suddenly and completely randomly fucking me up bad, it's ridiculous. Itchy eyes around the tear ducts, scratchy throat, blocked nose and what I understand now to be post-nasal drip being the main offending symptoms. The wife has got me on antihistamines which are kind of helping but only in slightly reducing severity. Anyone have any old wivess tale type tips?? Has anyone tried nasal sprays? Seems my next logical course of action...

Should I ask? What on earth is that?
If it's any consolation, allergies often change/become worse as you age.

Sounds like what my Dad had, though he was prescribed Optrex Infected Eye Drops (Chloramphenical). I'm sure yours isn't an eye infection.

It's where snot constantly drips down the back of your throat.
Can thoroughly recommend Allevia. Used to be prescription only but now over the counter. I don't suffer badly but it's the only one that makes a difference.

Experimental wisdom tooth removal happening on Thursday afternoon. I'm not sure if "experimental" is a word you want to have next to a surgery you're getting, but good luck!

Maybe it's the wisdom tooth that's experimental.

It's experimental in a fuck around and find out way. They think it might be causing my necksticle so they're taking it out on the grounds that even if it's not that I won't miss it anyway. 🤨

Still, I'm not the doctor here. Hopefully all goes well!
