I don't have an up to date cat photo but I knocked up a step out of some old scrap for Velma's catflap today, it remains to be seen if this solves the recent issue/problem whereby she's not quite moving her shoulders high enough to trigger the catflap sensors, the sensors are right underneath the top bit. As I say I'm unsure but guessing it may be an age related issue rather than catflap ....

I think I may need to do this one day as our cat flap is a bit high .. but can you still open your door?! |

Yes it opens in, also it's not a door we use often, only when I need a breeze to run through the house in really hot weather or need access for some odd furniture or something.

She used it once on her own today which is promising, the other time my 14yr old forced her through (poor thing (Velma not him)) so inevitably her head was shoved up against the sensors so that does'nt really count.

She's a challenge for sure, she must have had a tough life before we adopted her. For instance we've only just figured out how to handle her with a muzzle in order to do basic things like putting in eye drops when she had a bad eye infection, because she will snarl and snap when you cross one of her boundaries.
This morning she flatly refused to go for a walk this morning because it was drizzling, and she'll hide under the bed and snarl away. But then she loves to snuggle most of the time.
