Sadly not. Just have to hope he turns up. I at least hope he's being looked after, even if he's chosen to go elsewhere at the moment. It's made me quite blue all week, I don't mind admitting. I was the only one he tolerated.  Is he back Dougs? :-( |

And?' attitude. My brother's cat disappeared for 3 years. Turned up at their new house (about half a mile from their old one) minus a leg and well looked after. And there he lived until he died of old age. |

We had a cat that camped out in our back yard for a while, and when we quasi-adopted her and took her to the vet to get checked out, she was microchipped and been missing for 3 years. Their owners were just a few miles up the road.

The dog is being a dick. 6am on the dot he wakes us up barking (he sleeps downstairs). Usually up on a school day at that time, so can't work out of it's just routine or if he actually needs the loo. At the moment his dinner is usually before bed (any time between 9-11pm really) to prevent that - worry is if we bring it forward, he'll be waking us up for a dump at 2/3/4am.

Can anyone recommend a good dog sitter service for a wedding in the Yorkshire area? We're not having much luck with the ones we've tried as nobody's getting back to us.
Getting married in July next year and want our Bernese at the wedding for photos and the like. He'll likely just want to chill in the cabin on the grounds for most of the day but I'd still rather have someone watch him (who's completely sober).
Any ideas welcome, thanks!

Despite the massive amount of time I've spent walking dogs in the English countryside, I've never seen a snake outside of a zoo (or similar institution).

It was in our garden! I had no idea they get so big.
He was barking at it and when I came out to see what the commotion was he lunged at it, grabbed it in his mouth and quickly dropped it. Presumably because the snake jabbed at him in response.
Dudley's absolutely furious and is trying to track the fucker down. I think it must have left sharpish after that. Thank god it was just a grass snake.
