Heh, I think Viking: Battle for Asgard messed mine up back in the 360 days and one of the Rock Band games eventually unfucked it.
My heart did drop a little when I saw one of the Brotato cheevos pop up and mess it up again, but most of the ones that aren't multiples of 5 are easy to do.

I heard they're going to start giving out fractions soon. 17 and 1/3 for instance. Or 46.7 . Both.

Or they could give out pi achievement points. Then everyones gamerscore would be a literally endless and unroundable sequence of numbers, disappearing off the edge of the screen, forever.

Brotato has all sorts of horribly scored achievements. It's the perfect game for correcting your score. However the game is quite addictive and it's quite easy to accidentally get another.

Assassin's creed Valhalla is on there now apparently. Worth a play, or generic ubisoft bs?
Never played any of them before, but may dip a toe in since there's not much else grabbing me. It's either that or Persona 3 remake.

AC Valhalla is exactly what you think it's going to be. The same old formula, dressed up in fresh (and often very very pretty) clothes with a Viking tilt. Like most RPGs you start out as a wimp and the combat - especially boss type enemies - is REALLY frustrating until you unlock some abilities. Then it's fun. Then it's varied. Then it's repetitive. Then it's trivial because you're overpowered. I finished the game, and all the DLC, over 18 months or so from the end of lockdown. I had a decent time. It's comfort gaming, rather than classy gaming, if that makes sense. It's what I like about all the open worlders really - same with Avatar right now. Same formula, same loop, same sense of relaxation. If it helps, I rinsed AC Origins but skipped AC Odyssey. So perhaps I wasn't as burned out with the franchise as some definitely were.

I had limited experience with AC (played bits of the originals but none for ages) and picked up Valhalla when I got my Series X as wanted something which would showcase the visual side a bit and it reviewed well enough.
Phattso has pretty much nailed the progression, though I never finished it and didn't feel too overpowered despite having played a lot. The map can be a bit overwhelming at times, but the world is very good looking and it's fun just exploring. I enjoyed the combat (though not a patch on something like GOT) and the story is decent enough to keep it interesting.
Definitely worth a try

Valhalla is very long game, longer than last 2. has lots of repetitive tasks as you get to the main area

I’ve just reached the overpowered stage at 90 odd hours and that progression is exactly how I’ve felt while playing it. Not sure I’m going to bother with any DLC but it was good enough fun

Hmm. Massively long & repetitive tasks is not selling it tbh.
Especially after the grind of far cry 6.
I'll maybe have a larger rakevon game pass or wait for Activision stuff in march(?) or hope something decent is out before now and may for hellblade 2.

Always through the "RPG" AC games would of been better if they were 30 hour games. Odyssey was 60+ hour game and felt padded heavily as you couldn't do just the main missions due to level gating main missions

I’m about 25 hours into AC Valhalla and not sure I’m going to manage much more of it. The combat isn’t clicking, I’m never sure if I should wait and parry, use abilities or just keep dodging every attack a la Dark Souls. I unlocked the quest line where you go after the Templars, and then had a really anticlimactic encounter with one of them when we’d just razed a village to the ground as part of a quest, had a cutscene, only to have him spawn practically on top of me as soon as it finished and go down in 2 hits.
It looks nice enough and I can see the loot getting a bit more interesting now that I’ve unlocked the special merchant who takes opals. But it’s starting to drag a bit, and I’ve only done the first couple of areas in England. Now I wish I’d picked up FC Primal in the sale last week instead.

In other news, A Little To The Left is lovely. Might give this a go. Think i will uninstall AC valhalla. May give rage 2 a go and see what that was like. Rage was fun enough , but also a bit hollow. Maybe see if the sequel was a bit better. Also re-downloaded gears tactics and will try the other group with jack if i can work out how to play that again. 😀

Yeah, Boltgun has been on my "buy it when it gets cheap enough*" list for a while now, glad it's coming to Game Pass.
*I'll be honest, this list has become "wait till it's on Game Pass" nowadays.

wait till it's on Game Pass is the best way as games are so disposable, you can buy a game and after completing it, you might never play it again. Shame Alan wake remastered was not on gamepass as its not as good as you remember (thankfully it was in the sale and used MS rewards)

Yeah, didn't see anything about that previously. Just saw it on Reddit and came here to post.
On my list of "I'll wait for it to turn up on game pass" games, so happy days!
