Portugal 0-1 Ireland at half time.
This is an Ireland who have lost to Luxembourg and Serbia from their first 2 games, and up until tonight have being beating their worst-Irish-team-in-the-last-40-years record every year for about 10 years. They are still shite but it looks like the bottom has finally been hit. Portugal will probably come back because they are clearly better and have quality all over the park. Except for Pepe and Ronaldo who have been absolute dogshit. They really need to drop those two to move on (but obviously they'll score a couple each in the second half now).
We are still mostly shit and making some crazy decisions sometimes but there are hints at last. I'll take it after years of sliding. I'll take the nearly inevitable loss too, the players aren't great but are trying and our manager is shit but is also trying and wants to play football. The young ones are in and it will pay off later.

Worst officiating I've ever seen at this level.
Result is ok, Portugal were the better team even if it's a cunt to lose at the end like that. First baby steps forwards for us maybe.
