To be fair, Kane does usually deliver so can understand why he would continue to start. Southgate does make some strange decisions when it comes to subs though. Grealish looked really dangerous yet took him off over sterling. Then bought Henderson on for some reason. Pretty shit performance but should still qualify barring some sort of catastrophe in the last two games. |

It might have been a friendly but we just hammered Qatar 4 - 0 which probably seems normal to those of you who are English but that is extremely not normal for us.
We absolutely battered them, had all of the ball and scored 4 different types of goals. I've been behind Kenny throughout but just absolutely made up with where we are at with the team at this point. Still loads to do but if we can bring this level of performance and confidence to future games it bodes well.
I'm enjoying international football more than club football at the moment which I don't think I have done since I was 10 years old.

I know I’m broadly of the opinion that Grealish is overrated but England and City both look more balanced with Sterling in instead of him. Like doing jinky dribbles and then falling over/skying it might be what fans consider “trying” but you’ve got to cover and play others in too sometimes
And he has shit hair

Nil all half time versus Portugal. Apart from one chance well blocked by Coleman we've contained Portugal to basically no chances.
We genuinely look a really well coached team here (nice to be able to say that...). We were looking the more likely toward the end of the half but of course you'd still think Portugal will kick into gear at some point but very encouraging half. Looking forward to the nation's league and the world cup qualifying campaign if this progress continues.

Jesus, we should have won that. The progress under Kenny is genuinely incredible. We actually play football now.
Brady on rtes analysis is absolutely bizarre. It's so obvious that Kenny is the man and he's questioning if he should be given an extension. Now bemoaning how little we created (we actually created a few half decent chances and dominated the second half).
