🎯 Immortals Fenyx Rising
Thoroughly enjoyable romp with a bit too much of the icon bloat that plagues Ubisoft. Two thoughts. If I had played any Zelda since Twilight Princess I might have been less impressed. Finding it difficult to remember the name as well, although that’s more down to a crap name than anything else.
🎯 Fallout 4 season pass
Enjoyed Far Harbour and Mechanist, thought Nuka World was crap. Far too much go and shoot stuff, and gunplay is not Fallout 4’s strong suit. It does have the advantage of annoying Preston though.

🎯Bully. Showing its age a bit now with controls that are somewhat cumbersome at times and the PS2 era graphics, but damn I love the whole vibe of this game! It is still the only game I can think of that comes close to a 3D Skool Daze. Here's hoping with the upcoming PS2 GTA Trilogy getting a fresh lick of paint and some other gameplay improvements, R* might consider doing this eventually too, hopefully utilising the more detailed Scholarship Edition as the base.

Yeah, I look back really really fondly on Canus Canem Edit. On balance probably a tossup between that and RDR2 as my favourite Rockstar game. You're bang on about the vibe being key, and a good portion of that comes from the soundtrack. It's only realy the wanky mini games that let it down for me.

Phattso Yep the music is a real highlight, it's pretty much ever present in one form or another whatever Jimmy is doing. I love that each faction has their own theme as well, it really adds to their identity.

🎯Outlast II. Some seriously fucked up shit in this one plus creepy abandoned schools, even clean ones... I'm starting to think that's a phobia of mine for horror games as it gives me chills each time! This is effective as a game with no player combat, like the first. Technically, it ran really well on PS5 and I'm pretty sure it's a silky 60fps throughout. Graphically it looks amazing in places for a game running on UE3. I think I generally preferred the first Outlast game more just for the story and stuff, but this was decent too. Something a little more relaxing is on the cards now 😀.

Not sure if I remembered to add Metroid Dread to my list but can you please do so then remove it. Just completed it tonight. 🎯Fantastic game. Once or twice the E.M.M.I's felt like they were outstaying their welcome but overall it was super slick and super fun to play. The bosses were really satisfying too. It gets a 9/10 from me mostly because there were one too many E.M.M.I's and whilst it looks really cool at times the pixel art of old is definitely a richer more interesting look on the whole.

Has anyone else in here played The Shrouded Isle? Although the mechanics are ostensibly very different, I'm getting real Cultist Simulator vibes from it. The propensity for brooding atmosphere and opaque, interwoven, systems are quite similar. Ploughed half a dozen hours in it so far, and it's hard as nails to actually balance all of the competing demands. Every defeat is riiiight back to the first season (the game plays out over five years, so effectively 20 "turns" although there's quite a lot to do in each). Still haven't made it to the end of the third year.  Not sure how I'm going to resolve a "completion" criteria on this one. Not that it matters for now: perfect Hallowe'en fodder |

Picked up 🦆Wolfenstein II Deluxe Edition in a PS deal yesterday. I've read this is supposed to be pretty good! I'm tempted by that Jedi: Fallen Order game too as its only around £15 at the moment.

OK - a dozen hours on the clock now for The Shrouded Isle. It's excellent, but holy fuck is it difficult. :-D
I'm gonna keep playing it over Hallowe'en but then I think I'll call it done. Best £2 I've spent in ages.
Looking for a judgement on Hot Wheels Unleashed. Got a dozen hours on that, beat the third boss, played some multilplayer, did some course designing... and now I kinda feel like I've seen all that it has to offer? I do plan to keep it ticking over, becasue the collecting is kinda moreish, but since the latest updates have broken Steam (you have to disable the overlay to even get it to start up) and seem to be crashing a lot I think I'm gonna call time on this one unless the Duck and Jury decide otherwise.

Since Back 4 Blood didn't take my fancy (nothing against the game, I just don't have that many regular co-op chums any more) and Age of Empires 4 nearly sent me to sleep, there's a hole in my gaming life for something substantial.
As a result: 🦆Deathloop (PC)
That still leaves a slot or two for Forza Horizon 5 if I fancy it, and Halo Infinite after that.

I gave myself a little side goal during this challenge which was to try and play less actual games but to try and get more playtime out of the games I was playing.
I feel with over a thousand hours so far between my choices, I have been successful.
