Well that’s me done. I brought Skyward Sword. Couldn’t help myself. No shame.
Ok there is a little bit. A lot actually. Just found I’ve been bouncing of a lot of games recently which suggests I could probably do with a break with gaming for a little bit. Will quietly plug away at Skyward Sword and see where I get too.
I have actually deleted all games of my switch and ps5 wish list. I was just adding games that were good rather than something I wanted to play. So only games I have a serious urge or thought to play will now go on them. Like a good man cleaning I have swept everything I havn’t completed or even played over the years under the carpet to maybe never seen again. Anything I havn’t completed or played I have deleted from switch and the same with the ps5. Hopefully I be in better shape next year. October ain’t too bad.

Please Remove Tails of Iron from my list. Watching the credits now. What a great little game. Basically 2d souls with rats bugs and frogs. I'd recommend it to anyone

The duck will have enough to worry about at Christmas anyway what with the expected shortage of turkeys. People will need to find alternatives....... Was that a threat, human user tyke? I've got my one working eye on you, and my cyber eyepatch training lasers onto your house as we speak...

Let us be honest, human user Ook! nee JoelStinty... it was only a matter of time. January? October? The only difference is in the mind of the looser, I think. In the Olympic 100m final, nobody remembers the runner that cam 182nd, do they? You just think about that, and think about what you've done.

The first page is now updated to record the shame of our most recent object lessons, and the progress of the noble few who proceed into the final quarter of the year with an unearned spring in their step. Unearned because it only matters who is still standing come Christmas time. You're all just losers-in-waiting until then.

🎯DOOM Eternal completed last night. After some reservations about buying it I have to say I thought this was (mostly) brilliant and one of the best games I've played in a while. I'm now really glad I picked it up! Thanks to the recently released PS5 version I was able to use the ray-tracing graphical setting and the game ran at a silky smooth 60fps. The graphics were lovely and crisp and the action was consistently fast and furious without so much as a single blip. Technically, this game is superb.
I played on Ultra-Violence difficulty, which is one step down from Nightmare, and this presented a serious challenge at times but I managed, through gritted teeth, to survive some pretty hair raising encounters. I loved how punchy the weapons were and the gore was simply goreious!
I mentioned above the game was 'mostly' brilliant, and the reason is I do feel the complaints of the platforming bits were valid. There were a few moments of frustration whereby I lost a fair bit of armour/health when I mistimed a jump or forgot to hit R3 to grab a climbing surface, as some of those sections were needlessly awkward. Still, those parts were generally few and far between, so it doesn't really effect how I felt about the game overall. If you like FPS's and you haven't tried this yet, then play it, more so if you have a next-gen machine, as it's wonderful and left me with a big smile on my face. Great stuff from Id and such a shame that's likely it for new DOOM on PlayStation.

Please add 🦆Day of the Tentacle Remastered. I fancy something a little slower after Doom and this fits the bill nicely.

Despite my reservations, still chipping away at A plague tale. Quite enjoying it now. The stealth & puzzling has been ok thus far. (10 levels in)

🎯Day of the Tentacle Remastered. A fun little game and a good olde classic. I ended up using a guide when it got a bit too obscure keeping track of the different time periods and that helped me to get the Plat too, so that was nice.

Omfg A plague tale has the shittest final boss fight i have had in ages.
Not beaten it yet, but i hope to. It is a rage-inducing crap-fest so far after about 10 attempts.

I'm pretty sure you could scrub it off if you wanted to. A last boss being a joyless grind is a fair enough reason to walk away - you've absolutely given the game a chance, and played pretty much all of it. So really it's up to you if you want it shitting up your list or not. My flurry of completions in September was in service of Metroid and Back4Blood, the former of which I'm blasting through at a rate of knots, and the latter of which is getting such mixed review in the thread here that I might just skip it entirely. So now I have a free slot bonanza! What can I slam in there to balls up my chances of making it to year end, I wonder...

Ha! Got the bastard. Finally.
🎯 A plague tale innocence.
Edit: Always surprised how easy rage-inducing bits can be the next day when you're calmer.

Always surprised how easy rage-inducing bits can be the next day when you're calmer. 😀 Ha, yeah this. I've encountered that so many times, you hit a brick wall and keep trying to no avail and shut the game down in a huff. Then you come back the next day and trounce whatever the roadblock was 😁.

Finished off hitman 3 ther other day. Didn't put anywhere near as much time in the last levels, just smashed through them to get it off my list. Need to go back and play it some more when I have time /shame
Played and completed journey this afternoon. Was an enjoyable little diversion even if the snow section was a bit of a drag.

Might have to refer you to the ombudsman for that Hitman 3 completion - I had a similar urge, but made sure I went back and practically 100%ed a couple of locations in the spirit of the game. Fuck doing that for all locations, obvs, as they're not all winners IMHO. As for my list: 🎯 Metroid Dread. 14hrs on the game clock, probably closer to twice that in real time. It has been aaaaages since I've mainlined a game like this. 20 minutes before bed. Cheeky half hour between meetings. Loved it. 93% completion, with a bead on where many of the remaining items are, but I probably won't spend much more time with it. Before the final boss I spent a few hours scouring for upgrades and feel like I got as much as I'm likely to get from the game. Others have jumped straight into a second play, but I'm not sure that's on the cards for me. Happy to let it live in the memory, like Hollow Knight.

The omducksman can suck it if I have to 100% all locations, I out about 40 hours in on the first 4 maps It'll sit there till the end of the year instead

I did say “a couple of locations” and I’m not including contracts or any of the odd shit. Just getting the signposted completions. I actually enjoyed the game more for having done that. Hell, you might’ve done that already!
The two I spent real time with were the murder mystery house and the nightclub. The others were good but didn’t capture my imagination the same way.

Well it was just the wine party and the train map that were minimally done. The rest were ran through loads and like you I defo favoured the house and nightclub.

Not sure whether to add this, as I've played it before in a few different forms, but I'm working through the OG version of 🦆Bully again at the moment, the one made available on PS4 and playing on PS5.
This is one of my most played and favorite games ever, and certainly my favorite Rockstar game. I sincerely wish R* would make a sequel or at the very least a remake of the original, even if Scholarship Edition on XB360 was already a sort of remaster and superior to the version I'm playing now. I bought this a few years back on PS4 but didn't get round to playing it and fancied another go, even though I've still got my 360 SE version. At least there's some PS trophy support to keep me pressing on.

Congrats! That's a beast. I've picked up 🦆 The Shrouded Isle (PC) in the rougue-lite sale on Steam. For years I've been eyeing it up on the switch, but at full price and with the tiny screen I never pulled the trigger. For the price of a loaf of bread I thought it was irrisistable this time. Can't wait to get my Cthulhu on. 'tis the season and all that.
