When are we calling Forza horizon 5 'done' ?
I'm not that big on car games, but knocking on level 50 & have found all roads.
Done enough, or fill in all the events stuff?
Happy to keep plugging away, but feel I will be playing it a bit less now battlefield is out & halo infinite is in the post.

Yeah, I'm at a similar point with Forza Horizon 5 myself. Level 40 or so, and already completed all the events in the two disciplines I really enjoy (Road and Baja) and a smattering of the rest. Especially as it's as much service as game now, I wonder if that's equivalent to completing the campaign in Destiny 2 or whatever? I guess I should unlock the remaining outposts too, but after that I might consider it "done". I'll have to put it back on the list when the DLC drops, of course.

🎯 Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana I really, really liked this. Lovable cast, the story is not usual JRPG fare and the combat system (although it can get a bit button-mashy) is fun. I got the "good" ending. Apparently there also "best" ending, but to get that I'd have to do stuff that I couldn't be bothered with (grinding in raids and hunts). So after ~58 hours (in game time) I consider it done. The only downside is, I've now run out of (J)RPGs to play  |

In Forza 4 I considered it done when I done the final big races for the event types. (Gauntlet, Colousus etc). I would say it’s done when you’ve ticked off all your stamps and done the events on your postcard in the horizon adventure chapter? |

Yeah, but "done" in the sense of completing a game and "done" in the sense of having gotten what you wanted from a game aren't necessarily the same. There are some Forza events that I have zero interest in. The PR stunts, for example. I'm a simple man, with simple race-based needs. The purpose here is to make sure we're not just pin balling between games rather than giving them a fair shout and playing as much as we could/should/. With number five in the Forza Horizon series, I'm pretty sure we all know what we do and don't want from it. Maybe we have to have a race-off to decide?  |

Oh, and talking of games that never fucking end: 🦆 Ass Creed: Valhalla has made it to my list. I just couldn't resist that Tesco offer, and I do love me some mindless grinding in the Ass Creed universe. That's me full up now, with just a couple of weeks to clear a slot if I want to play Halol Infinite's campaign, although I might save that for Christmas. I'm pretty close to the end of Deathloop - just the "all in one" loop to (heh) execute now - and Forza Horizon 5 is also ticking along nicely. Since there's nothing else taking my fancy, and there's just a few weeks left of the challenge, I might just wheeze over the finishing line this year. |

🦆 Forza Horizons 5 - Well over 2 hours in now but mostly spent trying to get it to work with my old Logitech steering wheel!
🦆 Sekiro - Been waiting for it to be in a sale before taking the plunge and Steam finally obliged.
That's my last two slots filled and I doubt I'll clear any of my existing slots this year.
Hopefully I've not screwed myself!

🎯 End credits rolled on Grindstone.
Some fun levels in there, but way too many filler levels that weren't that much fun to play. It could have done with better selection of the levels to keep, and been half the length with a higher overall quality. It picked up a lot near the end.
🦆 Slay the Spire. I've already defeated the third boss with three out of four characters, so the target is to finish with the remaining character and also defeat the heart.

I know, but I like grinding through the Borderlands games and it was less than £8.
All slots now filled. Still dabbling in Hollow Knight (99% complete, got all the charms, just need 600 essence and then I’ll call it a day. Again. Maybe) so who knows when the list will empty out.

I believe the Mighty Duck starts his annual yuletide migration on the 20th of December, so our progress will be set in stone at that point. Those intending to partake of the 2022 get the choice of what to carry over and what to scrub. Within reason. |

Calling it done- level 96, all horizon postcard things done and in the hall of fame. Sheesh. That turned into a bit of a grind. Still kept me more engaged than many a car game (except for my love for buggy boy on c64).

I managed to do the heart relatively quickly, but had a nightmare trying to complete with the Watcher. Had a run where I lost the ability to see intents right at the start, but one extra energy, then picked up two Omniscience, one Devotion, one Wish, all early on. Completed it comfortably in that last run.

Yeah, it looks like I'll be staring down the barrel of similar numbers with Valhalla before too long. I'm nearly 40 hours in now and it's still introducing new systems and gameplay to me!  Immortals was a joy, though. Went so far as to rinse the main game *and* all the DLC. |

Done with AC Unity. Wasn't bad all told. Tried my best to do all chests and stuff but when I found out that there were even more hidden chests that I had to buy maps for I made the executive decision to fuck that shit off. Paris is great tho! I'll try Plague tale before the end of the year but I am increasingly worried that I haven't got a cat's chance in hell.
