Where as some of us get a written warning for a number of absences in a year which now includes covid. I'm always amazed at how utterly cuntish and unreasonable some bosses/companies can be. Always assume the worst in their staff who turn up (mostly) day in day out to help them get richer. I consider myself lucky having always worked for charities / public sector and despite obviously still having twatty bosses the organisational cultures supercede them and they feel like (mostly) supportive organisations. It's no wonder the government hate the public sector so much, distinct absence of Victorian work ethic and bosses to nice to crack the whip. |

So you catch a highly contagious virus more than a couple of times a year and you get told off? They shouldn't be allowed to do that. Had to book the family in for a drive through test tomorrow. An unvaccinated parent got covid, didn't inform the Preschool and kept sending her child in. That kid has gone downhill and tested positive for covid. My daughter has had a loss of appetite and high temps all day and really lethargic.
Me and my wife don't have any symptoms after having it previously and double jabbed, but I'm worried for my daughter because a selfish idiot.

Aside from being more unionised (which was either a blessing or a curse depending on which department you were in) there have been heaving cunts I've had as bosses. Absolutely heaving. I've worked in three completely different parts of the civil service, just to show some variety. |

I have only had one boss I didn't really see eye to eye with in my central department, but they weren't a bad person. Everybody is really nice... In my 13 years, things have definitely got softer and I almost feel like I am old school in wanting a harder edge sometimes, but I am trying to keep up with the times! I tend to do more than my contracted 36 hours (lucky me on old contract), but I can equally take it easier when things are less busy, take some flexi. I do all nursery pickups and a few drop offs too now. This is nothing compared to my wife in a top consultancy who usually breaks work around 630, joins for dinner and kids bedtime, and then works on until past midnight. She works 4 days officially, but rarely doesn't have do a couple calls on a Friday, and today is actually also working a full day (we have arranged childcare). It's rare if she doesn't do two or three hours on a Sat and Sunday. I get told off for sending emails in the evening! |

Vaccines have been around for almost a year now and millions have taken them with very limited negative reactions. They have clearly saved thousands of lives globally. If you can't see that by now and still think it's some global conspiracy for bill gates to microchip you (for some unspecified reason) then I'm not sure education is going to make much of an impact.

As others have said, education doesn't appear to work with the members of a cult which is what the anti-vaxxers basically are. The only way is to force them, either by mandatory vaccines or the use of passes which makes life so limited for them they give up. In countries like Switzerland, Germany and Austria you're fucked as you have huge swathes of the population who don't trust "traditional" medicine and love all the natural sounding bullshit that has no scientific evidence whatsoever to back it up. When I go to the pharmacy, they ask if you want homeopathic or traditional medicine. All the clowns into that shit lap up the vaccine conspiracy stuff and no way will they "poison their bodies" with vaccines if they have any choice in the matter. |
