Ha! That guy. It still weirds me out that there are real people behind the usernames. In skin suits.

Not COVID but something has been kicking my ass for the last week or so. Awful cough and throat, totally bunged up, body aches, feverish, exhausted. Urgh. I had bloody strep over Christmas as well which was equally horrible.

My wife has just had that. Sore throat, congested, headache etc. On the back of tonsillitis too. Took 7-10 days to shift it.

The strep over Christmas was the most persistent infection I've ever had. Each time it seemed to be on the way out it would come back with a vengeance. Horrible thing. Hope she's feeling better now!

I’ve got it now (day 8). Today is the first day when it’s felt like it’s on its way out.
6 times I’ve had covid now. Goddamn kids bringing every disease home with them.

Just tested positive, think that's the 3rd or 4th time. Wasn't feeling too great on Friday and Saturday very lathargic.
Thought I'd sweated out a cold(my son had one earlier in the week) on Saturday night.
Off work yesterday but thought I'd go in today due to staff shortage, still not great. Got hold of a test this evening, positive. Son was negative. Ffs!

I wish they'd develop a decent decongestant to replace the one they had to ban because it was a meth ingredient.

So London Book Fair was a plague pit. Me and my boss both caught it from there.
Ah well, this'll give me an opportunity to finish metroid prime.

Ups have been inisting on it for around a year now. I refused to hand it over and said I would sign on the person's behalf.

Hurrah!
Hopefully the covid catchphrase of 'LET IT RIP' can now be retired and forgotten.

I think the main thing we've all learned from this is that I am always right.

Speak for yourself mate, I plan on wearing an FFP3 mask when picking up the mail off my door mat until at least 2031.

I think the complete collapse of the global climate is going to be quite a biggy.

I've sort of blanked all the covid stuff from my memory. And when I try and remember specific stuff from those years it all just blends into one.

I meant in general life rather than forum drama. Plus it's easy to remember what a bellend he always was.

The most vivid memory of it all I have is right at the beginning when masking was just vaguely appearing and getting absolute death stares from people in an ice cream place when I rocked up wearing one.
Then it’s just a weird blur for like a year and a half.

Spraying our Asda delivery with disinfectant was my "What the fuck are we actually doing here?" moment.

The one memory that sticks out to me was the VE day street parties. Our little village doesn't need any excuse to be flag waving honkies, especially when it would make Bojo proud(they loved him around here). At the end of our street is a row of 4 bungalows where a few older ladies live.
They plan street parties and asked if we wanted to go. We declined as still didn't feel safe around others(especially anti mask ones) and our daughter was 2 or 3. As the day went on obviously social distancing stopped the more drunk they got. 3 out of 4 ladies died of covid over the next few months.
