I'm considering it, exceeding the "science" both in terms of time (10 days after symptoms, 13-15 after likely infection) and in mask-wearing. The very fact you are asking means you are unsure and personally I would err on the side of caution. I would give 10 days minimum but then I am not a let them rip person like you have suddenly become now you have a stake in the game. Again, considering exceeding all guidelines in multiple ways isn't the same as having no measures, is it? I'm trying to make sure I'm properly informed.

No, you are trying to justify something you know is wrong. Just do it and save the pretense.

I’m not going down the “this link says this but this one says that” route with you. It should be clear as day to anyone with a hint of self awareness what the correct course of action should be. The only mention of 20 days I found was for immunocomprimised people, was trying to get as well informed as possible, simple as that.

You’ve got some fairly unanimous feedback here, do with it as you wish.

I'd just do whatever you're going to do and not discuss it here. You've made your bed; no one is going to give you their blessing
At the very least learn some humility and realise people want to get on with life and not miss out on things anymore. It's just taken you until now to find something that's going to hurt you

Woo! Boy has just tested negative after a week! Back to nursery for him tomorrow.
It's been a shit week, but I've felt a lot better today than the last few. I'll be surprised if I test negative tomorrow morning though.

For those testing, did you stock up on tests when free or are you paying for them?
I refuse to pay for them, just curious.

Buying them, and they come in fantastically environmentally friendly cardboard boxes containing single tests instead of 7

Tempted to do a test today, been feeling knackered. I think it's mostly just the temperature making me feel shit, but probably should check before I head off for the weekend.

You did make it sound pretty mild in fairness. Didn't seem to stop you posting at all either...

You did make it sound pretty mild in fairness. Didn't seem to stop you posting at all either... Apart from normal cold symptoms, I had body aches, diarrhoea, fuzzy head, memory and concentration issues and as I did write, the most painful sore throat I’ve ever experienced. I wasn’t flat out in bed the whole team so could post. “Mild” just means you’re not in danger and don’t need hospital attention, it’s been completely misused.
