As I say, I have realised that the discomfort comes not from a big heed but more the ears. Either the inside of the cups on the Ankers are small and another pair such as the XM4/5 will do, or I need on ears. A mate has a pair of 4s, I'll give them a test drive.

Anyone got experience with the Samsung Bud 2 Pro? My wf xm4s have shat the bed again with battery life and Amazon are very kindly refunding me after 18 months. So it's between these, Jabra or perhaps some cheaper Anker. Bloody Sony. Cracking earbuds otherwise

I vaguely remember watching a crinacle review saying they were the best sounding wireless buds he’d ever tested (at the time). Dunno about the NC and all that.

Yeah, just read The Sound Guy review and comparison to the Pixel buds. I could get the XM5s for the same refund price but a quick Google suggests Sony haven't fixed the battery issues. The Samsungs are £60 cheaper so seems a no brainer.

Shame you’re not an iPhone guy as the AirPods Pro 2 have genuinely blown me away.

Genuinely can't get on with them. Have to use one for work and it drives me mad. All over ipads and macbooks though. Go figure.

My WF XM4s died after 2 years and Sony wouldn't fix them the cunts despite widespread occurrences of battery issues. Looked around at other brands, but like the filthy slut I am, ended up buying some refurb WF XM5s. They are an improvement, mainly in terms of comfort. Annoyingly slippery to handle though. Paranoid one will fly onto the underground rail track one day...

I got a refund for the XM3s for the same reason after the same sort of time and fool me once and all that. I don't think I can bring myself to go for the 5s. I think I'll go for the Samsungs. £111, can't go wrong.

Still using my XM3s daily after I guess at least 4 years and battery is fine.
Music is great but they're utter shite for voice calls though, literally unusable. Are the newer ones better?
TBF most buds are. The number of people using airpods on teams calls that are just plagued by excessive background noise in a busy office...

WF XM5s are good for calls, yep.
None of my overear Sony's have broken. Still going strong with my WM XM3s and even 2s.

They're shite for contacting your teenage kids though. We made the mistake of getting him some pro2's for xmas.
The noise cancelling is too good. Have to message the little sod to let him know dinner is ready nowadays!

They are alright for phone calls but they do need optimal conditions. In quiet places they are decent but, maybe because I have a massive head, because they sit so far away from my mouth, to pick my voice up they also pick up everything in a noisy office. You need to be slick on the mute button.

I think I'll go for the Samsungs. £111, can't go wrong. So had the Galaxy Pro Buds 2 for a month or so. I like the fit and form factor, the sound is good, and balanced. Battery life is fine - only gripe there is no way of knowing what is left on the case. The ANC isn't as good as the Sony's (nor the sound, but they are quite a bit cheaper). Touch controls are a bit finicky and sensitive but I do like that you play easily with only one earbud in (the Sony's were a pain for that). Overall quite happy but kinda wish Sony would sort the battery woes out as they are quite a lot better.

I have a set of them too, only ones I've tried that don't fall out of my ears. Had a set of Sony ones before and one fell out when I was painting, bounced on the floor and into the paint tray.
Samsung's ones are comfy, sound good and have a decent battery life. Would happily buy another pair if they died.
Bit late for a mini review from me to help Dougs but only just saw the question and figured it may help someone else.
I don't use the touch controls though as they are more hassle than they are worth other than a quick pause.
