My wife was in a film Fry directed. Said he was absolutely lovely (and the only reason she wanted to do it). I can totally see him being a pompous arse though when not turning on the charm.

Haha, it was Bright Young Things but she is not Emily Mortimer, and I don't even know who Allesandro whatsit (her husband I assume) is. She didn't usually do extra work, but did for this purely because it was Fry directing.

Yeah, I've had to basically ignore everything other than his music. Yet another rich white man dismissing issues faced by other people, and shouts about it from his ivory tower. Tom Baker. As beautiful a person as you’d ever hope he’d be. Occasionally spoke about himself in the 3rd person, but every story was worth the listen.
My friend worked at a local coffee shop and Tom would just come in and chat for an absolute age and was genuinely interested in everything.
I suspect Mrs Tom was just resigned to the fact that popping to the shops was going to take 4 hours because he wouldn’t stop talking !

I went to that exhibition. Even after 40 years, remember the terror of descending the stone steps (somewhere behind Blackpool prom) into a basement with every Doctor Who baddie in it at once. It could only have been scarier if they'd thrown in the Bringers of Wonder from Space 1999.
