Quite tempted to get the Pro... Then again there's absolutely nothing wrong with my S10+ still. Might as well just run this into the ground and upgrade next year or the year after.
eBay will be absolutely flooded with the Bose 700s, so curious to see what the going rate drops to for those.

Android 12 is live on pixels, my review, Meh
Also EE have Pixel 6's up now £38 quid a month for the normal version, fuck off EE
*£43 on EE, now changed, but they chuck in a pair of Bose headphones. I ain't paying that a month for a £599 phone, I will buy it myself if anything.

My 5 is more than sufficient currently.
Also, I have zero motivation to purchase a first run device of a new chip etc. Maybe in a year when the Tensor has been out for a while.

Only just looked at the 6. Was hoping it'd be a smaller phone like the 5.
A good job really, I was holding out for it for a while until my last phone died out of warranty so I got a Nord 2 a couple of months ago, and that's ever so slightly smaller than the 6, similar specs, and cost me less.

Almost bit on the regular Pixel, but then decided I'd just be buying it for new shiny, as current nearly 3 year old phone is fine. Actually almost thought about jumping ship to the Apple side this year, but then remembered no sideloaded apps, so no Vanced, which is about about a third of my phone use. Stuff having to watch youtube ads and sponsors, life's too short for that lark.

sideloadable app with the YT premium features + sponsorblock, makes YT usable again. Risks from using are your own, etc etc. r/vanced probably your best bet for support if you have problems using it.

Review embargo on the Pixel 6 lifted yesterday, consensus seems to be: it's alright. Video isn't the best and front facing cam on the non pro ain't great, no massive upgrade from the 5 as it turns out, which is weird. Still, the non pro seems good value in the 600 quid range if you coming from something a few years old. The headphone offer still on for another day if you want to grab it.

I would be making the same swap if I went for it (after swapping from a pixel 4a to the F3). I'm missing the pixel feel tbh, MIUI is just a bit shit. But my 4a's battery was barely lasting a full work day. |

Battery is good so far. Had it for a few days and it lasts a day with heavy usage. Managed to get 36 hours out of it yesterday with minimal usage.

Been mucking around with the 6 Pro for a few days now, coming from a 4 XL. Wasn't sold on Android 12 at first, as they seemed to have changed some of the bits of 11 I liked (smart home shortcuts on power button and overall tidier notifications being the main two), but it's growing on me now. Still can't stand that fucking ugly lockscreen clock, though!

The overscroll thing is far less noticeable on dark mode. Although it's quite visible on sites that don't support it. Like this one.
