Ok, so last mission of act 3 is tough.

Not helped by dying on the level before due to stupidity. My first time there, so didn't twig you need to move through the areas at the end as fast as possible and thought the horde would eventually end.

D'oh!

I've been dipping into it on PC with mouse and keyboard and even that feels a little bit off to me. Just can't quite get it the way I like it, strangely. It's not game-breaking, by any means.

Not played it all that much, though. It's just not clicking for me the way L4D did back in the day, but I'll definitely see it through to the end at least once before uninstalling it.

I'm still absolutely loving it. I can't remember enjoying another co op game as much for years. Played through from the start to half way through act 3 yesterday in co op and it was a blast again. So much carnage on hard, it really comes into its own when you've got a deck full of decent upgrades and some epic weapons whilst the game throws everything at you. Act 3 is just brilliant.

Nah it's not the aim assist. Just looking around the camp with the right stick is dreadful.

I can't remember the last time an fps felt so bad on a controller. Off to the troglodytes in cex it goes.

The last battle (Act 4) is pretty bollocks.

Worst bit of the whole game possibly. Chuck loads of mobs, shitey acid spewing things, then next bit, where a few of you tend to die, with an additional bit after that.

Maybe with a load of good cards it's better, but I'm not overly impressed by it thus far.

Two attempts now, will try a few more before I sack it off.

Quick play join to the last bit- everyone is dead.

Nice matchmaking.


Final boss bit is so shit.

Had it down to the last few cm of health a couple of times, but fate/team etc always has other ideas.

Maybe get it done eventually...

Cannot get decent randoms to complete the end of act 3. Never know what they are doing. Sigh.

Did you get there in the end?

I did that bit at the second attempt, that last level/act though. yeesh.

Is the stability better these days? I think there was an update not long after i finished it, so i should try this again to see how it is now, but I was soo scarred after the glitchy mess of the final slog to finish it, that I sort of cba.

Can you have a private group in this and fill up the spaces with bots?

From the beta to this is a pretty big difference I would say. Overall a poor mans left 4 dead but it's alright.

Pretty much everything is better in the valve games. They've had 12 years to improve it but almost every aspect feels marginally worse to me.

Guns, cards and systems are overly complicated. Having different ammo for each weapon is also needless imo. The loot crates throughout the levels can also fuck off. I want to work as a team not spend half the game looking at the floor picking up garbage, but that's modern shooters.

No campaign versus is also really shite. I know it was pretty toxic in L4D but when you had 2 full teams who weren't twats it was kind of magic.

That being said it's still fun. The graphics are nice, it's easy to get a game with the crossplay and it still has the same core gameplay of the L4D series. I did the first couple of levels and had a good time.

The pick up groups I had yesterday were absolutely trash. There's a part where you need to run across a bridge and most of them just stood around.

L4D was at it's best when you had a decent group of friends, this will be the same.

It's possible with randoms but always better to get some friends to play with you if possible.

There is no single player at present, which is pretty awful.

It feels like this is the beta test. It's a bit rough around the edges.

I can see lots of potential in it though.

Also the cost is ridiculous considering the state of the game.

I really wish I had some online friends to play this with as when I've played with good randoms the game has been brilliant, I really enjoyed the first two acts especially when playing with good groups who stuck around, just trying to crack the last part of Act 3 has sucked the fun out of this for me.

I just want to "complete" the game on recruit at the very least.
