Anyone know a way to set a match to private? We are 3 and find having the 4th as a bot extremely helpful (ammo, pinging etc). Having a random silent person join and ruin the flow doesn't seem fun for either party.

Oooh I see they have patched the difficulty. Good news as I'd rather play on hard but Jesus hard was too hard.  . Had a player join last night and the bot they took over stayed so we were a team of five. That's a very good bug! Not sure about the private match thing, I haven't noticed that option. Anyone like rocking scopes in this? I find it mostly annoying unless you have a quick scope card currently active. |

I hate scopes. Hate hate hate them. Sniper rifles are basically useless. Totally disagree. I use Holly with her bat as close up combat. I pair it with a sniper to take out targets from distance. Great for ogre hotspots and hitting mutations from afar. My team mates can have the assault rifles, LMGs and SMGs, taking down zombies and it’s no ammo clash. Teamwork makes the dream work! Edit: although my fave pairing would be the M1A with a holo sight as opposed to an ACOG |

If I remember rightly it is in the preferences when setting up a run along with options to prefer comms, disable crossplay etc. Should say private party or something to that effect. |

The bots are great. Just carried on my campaign I was running near the end of act two and did two levels with three bots and it went smoothly. Then three players joined and it went to shit with them alerting hordes almost non stop.

Some random people are more trouble than they're worth.

I knew I'd enjoy this being a bit of a fan of the left 4 dead back in the day but this has definitely turned out better than I was expecting. I like pretty much every little new thing they've added and really like the card system. Left 4 dead already had good replay value with the director system but the card system really mixes it up even more. I've probably done act 2 three times now with different friends and every time the chapters have felt very different. Even just with time of day changes.

I did quite like 4 as well but yeah 3 was epic. Also I should change my rating from 9 out of 10 to a 10 as the Juke box at camp plays some of my all time favourite blues records. Which is great as I create my decks and change my characters etc. |

Yeah that juke box in the camp is very cultured. As for act 4 it was fine. Very Gears of Wars-y. I think it might be a challenge on Veteran. We are working our way through so we will be there eventually!

I kind of like this game. It doesn't quite have the polish L4D did, but I'm enjoying building out decks and slaying zeds.

Had a great run through the first act with a rando this evening. Good chatting and it was all fairly smooth. I'm starting to really enjoy the card system, it rewards replays and I see how building good decks makes the hardest difficulties more accessible/easier over time. Seems a clever way to do it, actually. Enjoying this more and more.

It's on Gamepass for PC, so you could probably rinse it over a month or two for way less than buying it.

I've built a pretty brutal shotgun build now. Depending on which cards drop I can get 100% reload speed, health back each shotgun kill, shotgun damage buffs, shotgun move speed, shotgun bullet penetration, ammo boosts etc.
Really Buffs the character which is essential on veteran as it's a pretty big difficulty jump. Think my favourite character currently is doc for those extra team heals and team truama resistance.

Seems to have cross play so might pick it up and jump in. Can get it for £37 on Steam from a site i use to buy keys a bit cheaper. I have an Xbox One pad for the PC so no keyboard and mouse so all level playing |

Man, the online on this seems really shonky. I have had to disconnect cross play to try to ease it.
I'm getting far too many server drops. Even having to use quick play regularly to just get a game in a reasonable time, sadly all too often with crap team mates, for it then to drop at some point.
I can only stand a few attempts at that before i get fed up.

I took the plunge on this yesterday and am really glad I did, played for a few hours last night, completed Act 1 with randoms (on Recruit so I can start getting cards for my deck) and tried a round of PvP (which was a blast).
I don't have any regular friends playing online at the moment, so am reliant on randoms unfortunately, but if anybody does want to add me for games in the coming weeks I'm mikeck on PS5.

I've been trying to get into this as it came with my PS5 last week, but the aiming feels strange. I usually have my sensitivity high, but even on the lower end of the scale I'm struggling to find a sweet spot. The acceleration is wild, and there doesn't seem to be an option to tone it down.

I am playing on Series X and I thought the same at first. However you soon get used to it and realise that you NEED that fast acceleration to stay alive. |
