Looking forward to watching Beth Shreiver race again later. Watched the heats back late last night and my word. I have no idea how she's able to peddle that much faster than an elite field but she just surges clear every time she uses them. It's like she's secretly got an e-bike.
Definitely becoming one of those Olympic sports that I love watching every 4 years but have no desire to watch any more frequently.

Obviously I have no idea what I'm talking about but it feels like the Chinese divers continually get a few extra points just based on judges expectations and benefit of the doubt rather than total objectivity. Seems like they'd have to miss the water to get lower than 8s. Think Mexico deserved that gold more.

Still if I hadn't just been told that GB team x are the World Champions, World Record Holder and favourites, then these Silver/Bronze medals would be far more enjoyable and fun. It's almost as if sport doesn't care about feelings. |

As someone pointed out, being LGBT in Algeria is punishable with a prison sentence. So why would they send a trans woman to officially represent them? Simone Biles my word, she is just a generational talent. More outrage and drama over this than the Netherlands letting a child rapist represent them. The Dutch coaches trying to defend the selection by claiming he’s not a paedo is a real stretch considering he was in prison in two different countries for being a paedo. Has he competed yet? Would love to know how the live audience responded to having a confirmed nonce paraded in front of them. |
