In case anyone is wondering, Clare Balding is a freelancer so that's why she's working for Channel 4 at the Paralympics.

Suppose this is answering the question if the sound issues for the previous ceremonies were the BBC or not. Couldn't even make out that was a cover!

C4 apologising for the word "shit" from one of the songs being played was rather amusing.

Incredible in the rowing, British bloke had such a lead you couldn't see him when the fight for silver and bronze was being shown, won by 10 seconds.
Edit: the next race was a nail biter.

Some great rowing finals! I properly counted the mixed team out but that turn around in the last 200m was incredible.

It must be nice on a cold day to be on the back of the tandem, with the guy in the front keeping your hands warm with their arse.

Glad to see Kadeena Cox got some redemption for her earlier incident in the team sprint with gold.
And that's it from the velodrome.

Today has been unbelievable, this must be what it's like for USA in the Olympics. Not a single hour has gone by without a medal for GB today, and most of them gold!

Today has been phenomenal from Paralympics GB 12 golds today is nuts. Not going to get to the Murderball final though.

Much as I'm proud of GB doing so well, it's a bit bittersweet, because to me it implies other countries are not/have not been investing in parasports as much as China and ourselves.

Indeed. Even in France, only a tiny percentage of sports clubs have facilities for people with disabilities.

Yep, it's startling how poor USA do in the paras in comparison considering the amount of vets they have.

there was a bit on last leg the other night about how poor accessible public transport has been in Paris (not that the UK has anything to brag about) and I can't help but think LA is likely to be worse given how car-centric every US city seems to be

The final of the wheelchair basketball is currently on, going to be a tough match between GB and USA but should be worth tuning in for.
edit: bugger closer than I thought it would be at times but silver for GB

fucking loved the limpics this year, it's like sports tapas and it's been great over the last month having it on in the background before being transfixed by climbing or battle kayaks or murderball. C4 in particular have knocked it out the park and The Last Leg has been a great end to each evening
Paris should be well proud, genuinely bereft that we've got to wait two years before the winter Olympics and I once again get super engrossed in Canadian curling

Channel 4 having so much coverage of the Paralympics showed how much we missed with what the BBC could do with their very limited Olympics deal. It was great opening up my subs page on YouTube and having so many things to choose from. One complaint though, More4 on Freeview bitrate was absolutely terrible, it was like watching a 360p stream at times, it really needs a Freeview HD channel. Fortunately those YouTube channels came to the rescue there.
