This psychic in the Australian series, christ on a bicycle. She was great.

He was very very lucky. The ease with which everybody fell for that trick of taking the shield *and& even after that theory started looking shonky *and* it being an obvious play to try and get a shield as a traitor, plus having a lovestruck simpleton flying under the radar right to the end.....Blimey.

Pretty much, it's been said already but if Jaz had more conviction at the end Molly would have probably been swayed.
I don't know if I'm misremembering, but I think Molly voiced her concerns about Harry being a traitor earlier in the series, so she might have been using him as a shield from murder at some point before falling in love with him.

I really thought the shield thing would fall apart. Jaz, Jasmine and Ross or Zack were shown talking about how it could be a double-bluff and the traitors had the shield right after breakfast before forgetting the notion entirely.
It must be knackering though. The whole thing is basically shot over two or three weeks so the murders and banishments genuinely are nightly. Between the stress of the game, the physical tasks and lack of decent sleep it must be so easy to forget super basic stuff or get hooked on any passing theory just to anchor onto anything.

Can't remember who, but someone did say there could have been a recruitment at the breakfast, but Zack dismissed the idea right away and no one seemed to consider it again. The whole ploy felt like a massive risk to me and one that didn't seem hugely necessary, as no one was looking at Harry at that point.
Fair play to him though, everything he did seemed to work for all the other contestants. And it is easy for us to see through the traitors' plays with all the knowledge. I'm sure if you were actually on the show your head would be pretty warped by the whole situation.

Easy to create the impression of there being a constant stream of red flags when an 18hour day is edited down to a 1hr broadcast too.
I wouldn’t be shocked if the roundabout was a 2hr+ record alone some days.

It was frosty on Uncloaked. She still sounded like it was pretty raw even they probably taped this back in August. Oof. Yeah just watching this now. You can see the hosts being really careful in how they deal with it.

This psychic in the Australian series, christ on a bicycle. Utterly ridiculous, I don't know why anyone with "abilities" appear on the show as it's quite clear they've got about as much help from the other side as someone flipping a coin.
It's a shame James Randi is dead otherwise he could have sponsored a psychics only version of the game and shown they're all full of shit.

Btw there is a better traitor than Harry in one of the other seasons imo. Absolute assassin, I won't give you the country it's in though as I don't want to spoil anything. I think I know who you are talking about. Played it superbly.

They just had Andrew of BBC breakfast and he didn't find out who won until it aired on Friday like the rest of us.
Must kill them not knowing for that long. I guess it's tied contractually that it all has to be kept quiet even between contestants.

Do you think some of these grifters actually start to believe their gift is real or do they think they are at such a high level of con that they can beat the game. Or a weird mix of both? I detest psychics, they basically just profit off misery and pain, a proper hangover from the old times that should have disappeared years ago.

I think some are on the grift and some are just nutty enough to genuinely believe it themselves. Not the ones who tour theatres obviously, but the kind who wander onto shows like this looking bemused maybe.

I detest psychics, they basically just profit off misery and pain, a proper hangover from the old times that should have disappeared years ago. I recall watching a documentary done by Derren Brown sometime ago where he went to the US and visited what were basically psychic training camps. The way they were taught what were essentially cold reading skills encouraged them to believe their powers were real, that the insight they were getting from body language and the responses to vague statements weren't just coming from themselves but from an external power. I suspect it is quite common for psychics to actually believe their own hype. In regards to contestants not knowing who the winner was, I did think when watching the Uncloaked show that the audience there must have just watched the last episode altogether before recording Uncloaked. Must have been great to watch in an audience, particularly one that had the contestants in as well.

Wow, what a final.
Don't need to say much as you guys have said it already but I feel like it was the perfect outcome - Harry won as he probably deserved it for the game he played, Mollie didn't really deserve anything and Jaz was validated in his theories despite losing.
One of the best parts about this show is how it feels like 'event' TV - all my mates are talking about it, everyone's watching it at 9pm and everyone at work can't wait to talk about it together the following day. I've really missed being able to do that!
Please don't change anything for S3 BBC - the format is perfect (maybe tweak a game or two), Claudia is a great host and the contestants are genuine and down to earth.
Fuck me it's going to be a long year.

Logs are kept with notes on punters, their issues, family structures, imaginary space friends, etc. Then swapped between “psychics” for maximum exploitation apparently. A lovely business.

There are always other games I think he is the best host but the Americans made it the weakest series for me.

The cinema showing looked like it was fun, actual event television.
Not just cinemas either.

Most likely doing the American one next if get the itch. Fully aware it's full going to be full of awful Americans but my man Cummings there is going to make it worth while. I'd just watch him flouncing round a castle on his own without contestant, tbh.

He really is a very good host. I think the American obsession with throwing "celebrities" in everything is a mistake in this case (and probably many others too).

Not far from the finish line with the first season of the Australian version, it's been fun to see a different spin on it (the US first season using the same tasks/location as the UK one made it feel like a remix rather than something new). I've enjoyed it a lot, the contestants are a real mixed bunch of people and some of the insanity has been both infuriating and entertaining as well Jesus Christ Matt, I really hope you're better at selling houses than playing Traitors . One added bonus is playing "Spot Paul", he was apparently a bit disruptive pointing out production stuff and doing other things while filming so the producers pretty much tried to edit him out of the show, which didn't really work as the numbers dwindled. At least that's the reason they said, I think it was clearly some Pommie bashing going on! ;-) One big surprise about production of the Aussie one though, as most of the tasks are done away from the hotel it's based in, the contestants are the ones driving themselves to locations, it leads to some interesting conversations in cars that we don't get as much of in the UK version as tasks are usually in the grounds.
Nearly forgot to mention him as well, Rodger Corser as the host does a very good job too, he's funny and is always good for a wry comment.

For those who need an intro to some of the US cast, skip to about 1 minute in to this for one of their more insane moments.

To be clear that’s from a completely different show from 10-20 years ago.
