Ross was dead from the moment Harry decided not to tell him about the shield. If he'd thought fast enough, he should have claimed to have known Harry had one, because that was the only evidence again him. Harry couldn't have called him a liar.

If you need more traitorism and don’t mind the American flavour (and Alan Cumming’s accent 😳) you’ll see women can be really bloody excellent at the game. I love the character Alan Cumming plays on his version. Basically every line he delivers makes me laugh or smile its so over the top.

Dohh….lurrrrrs.
He said he was channeling Catherine O'Hara‘s character in Schitt’s Creek, with maybe a stroke victim six months into recovery thrown in.

Traitors 101:
An uninformed majority will always lose a battle of information against an informed minority.

Only started watching on Sunday night, and have been binging so we are all caught up to watch tonight and tomorrow live.
We had put off starting as we aren't normally keen on reality shows (race across the world being the exception), but we were hooked after the first episode.
Generally speaking they seem to be a nice enough bunch, and not vapid attention seekers using it as a springboard to something else, which makes it all the more watchable.
Some of the decisions they make are truly baffling, but then it's all in the editing which is as good as it gets. T
There's been a lot of times we've questioned the traitors decisions, thinking they have made an error (putting two in the dungeon, going in too hard on the other traitors, the risks they took in the poisoning challenge) but then the faithfuls have been staggeringly incompetent at times and seemingly unable to defend themselves with simple logic or facts - that or they've just had a meltdown and brought unnecessary attention on themselves.
I'm hoping for a traitors win, but think Harry might have messed it up with his over confidence.
Whatever happens, it's been cracking TV and we'll definitely be going back over the first season and maybe some of the overseas versions.

This is the big thing for us too - we don't watch any reality shows but this seems to be the reality show for people who hate reality shows. They all seem like regular people who aren't angling for a presenter role. Hopefully it stays that way and they don't try and jazz it up with silly tasks/twists or bring in 'zany' people with future series'.

It being in the hands of the BBC instead of ITV or Channel 4 makes me hopeful they won't go the zany route

I hope so but The Apprentice packed the show full of idiots about five years ago and I haven't been back since.

I think a lot of contestants get picked because they want to play the game, not necessarily just be on TV. Someone mentioned a page or two ago that Ross and Diane are D&D players, and someone posted an article from one of the S1 players that writes about game design. It doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be any good at the game, but the fact they go in with that mindset gives it quite a different feel to other reality shows.

The production company behind it (commissioned by the BBC) also made Race Across the World, which is probably why we like both. Having not watched the first season I'm not sure how they have mixed things up this time, but with a format like this I can see it being tricky to keep changing things enough so it's still both difficult for the contestants and fresh for the audience, without that prior knowledge from the previous affecting things. One thing we have found funny is the shots of people in their rooms at night - it's clearly not candid caps, so people have either come up with the ideas themselves, or agreed to something the production crew have suggested. There a pantomime campness to it all I think is delightful and whilst Claudia can really grate on me sometimes, she's perfect in this. Been trying to work out how they film it all. You can see remote camera's in some shots, but there's tracking shots which makes me think there are camera crew involved and in the room, and I would think it very hard not to break the 4th wall at times, especially if you are a traitor.

Them being players of D&D was to make a joke about Ross's lack of Wisdom not that playing a TTRPG would help with The Traitors.
Now being a good Diplomacy player most certainly would make someone a good Traitors player, lying and stabbing people in the back is par for the course. There is also the factor in that cheating is a perfectly valid tactic if, and only if, you don't get caught.

Oh totally. I was responding to the idea that the contestants in this seemed quite different to other reality shows. I'm suggesting that the people being picked to take part are partly being selected because they are going to play the game. A few of them being gamers in some form (I would include Anthony as a chess coach in that group too) is a good indication that they are more likely to approach it in that way (and, evidently, often without much success).

It being in the hands of the BBC instead of ITV or Channel 4 makes me hopeful they won't go the zany route I was thinking about that last night.
This just wouldn't be the same on commercial channels with ad breaks interrupting the flow. A forced cliffhanger during the round table, just as the deciding vote is about to be cast so that they can sell us a bloody Vauxhall Corsa, oven chips or so that Johnny Depp can wander around a desert mumbling. The extra minutes the BBC can give it to percolate on its own help massively.
The BBC have been trying various reality formats for years, they've earned the viewers that The Traitors and Race Across the World pull in.

The idea of televised wink murder on C4 would have been a shoe-in for the Come Dine With Me, Four In A Bed, Coach Trip late daytime slot

US season is the weakest, both Aussie seasons are good (and one has the best of any ending). The NZ one is decent too. Canada was ok too.

Really don’t want Harry to win now but he’s surrounded by absolute f’in twats, Jaz aside, so it’s likely he will.

Jaz trying to Columbo this is getting a bit stupid, he's been right about Harry for ages but he's keeping his powder far too dry.

Mollie is guaranteeing a Traitor victory. Well she's going to need a massive final or everyone who watches this is going to think she's incredibly gullible.

I wonder if Harry fancies Mollie and is suddenly realising that she’ll never trust him if he steals the money.

Harry already has a girlfriend and considering he's just heard her pouring her heart out about only recently feeling able to face the world it's not a great way to start a relationship being a lying git.

I can’t see a Faithful win here, so this is feeling like a bit of an anticlimax. I don’t see faithfuls uncovering Andrew and definitely not Harry.
Obviously I’ll be watching tomorrow but….bah.
