Wondering if I need to feel embarrassed that I've been asking for "chipotle" sauce and not "south west"...

Yeah that stuff is the business, I wish they sold it in bottles.

As long as you aren't pronouncing it "Chi-Pot-al" you're OK.
They have an extra spicy version I haven't tried.
Try to recreate it at home making a Chipotle mayo but can never really get it the same. Probably needs half a bag of sugar or something added.

McDonald’s today. Got the Mrs’ order right. I ordered a bacon roll with ketchup meal with a coffee and a pineapple stick. No pineapple stick. Cross. One coffee. Tick. This next bit is definitely not right: 0/10, fuck my life. I tok my gluten intolerant nephew to a McDonald’s once. He ordered a double cheeseburger, fries and a drink. He wasn’t one for pickles and sauces, so he got rid of them, and the bun. He also doesn’t like cheese. So he got rid of that. Too me, that was fair. He had ordered what he wanted, how he liked, and covered not making himself ill. I was called up to the counter, to be told they couldn’t provide his order. I asked why, as you would. I was told a double cheese burger had to come with cheese. I asked why was the option to remove it available on the kiosk. For some reason the reply was you could also add more. Now I have played Myst and the Resident Evil games, I get obtuse puzzles, but that baffled me. Eventually the manager came over, we talked and he asked why I hadn’t ordered two separate burgers without all the additional shite. I pointed out that I didn’t order it, my increasingly embarrassed eight year old nephew had. He took care of the order, but that experience soured my love of using McDonalds as a treat for younger family members.

I just had a nice Mexican sarnie, and coffee from Greggs. Shove your Subway up your arse.

I tried Fat Pat's sub a week or two ago in Manchester - little hole in the wall outlet that is only collection or delivery. Possibly the most unhealthy thing I've eaten but it was massive and incredibly tasty. Would recommend it to anyone in the area. Whereabouts in Manchester? Just bagged tickets for Mudhoney. Always on the look out for something new.

I didn’t write this but I actually asked for the bacon roll with brown sauce. I highly suspect OH c*nted the order.
However I like to interchange them. If I’m having a brace I’ll do one of each.
I didn’t like brown sauce as a child, so possibly the ketchup thing is a bit of residual juvenalia.
The actual king on pig butties though is HP Fruity. Fight me.

Once you get the ratios right.

@rummonkey
Having never heard the term ‘jaffle’ I did some hasty research. Seems to be an Aussie term and usually used for a sealed sandwich. Theirs aren’t sealed and are in fact closer to what an American would call a Grilled Cheese.
Sorry but I’m sticking to ‘toastie’, at the risk of opening up a new front on the eternally raging muffin/cob/roll/stottie/whatever war that crops up on social media all the time.

For the grilled cheese, are we paying attention to the Dead like Me explanation or just not?
Also, definitely looking up that bad boy the next time I am in Manchester.

Stuff like this cracks me up. I can't work out if it's a parody or not. It has to be, surely. And if not, most people haven't got time for any of that. Saw one the other day banging on about how ultra-processed bread is, and we should all make our own. "only 3 ingredients...well, OK, 6. And hours of proving etc".

I mean it is called Chipotle southwest sauce and I've called it Chipotle and southwest sauce on separate occasions. I don't think they care of you said "the orange sauce". Man it's so fucking good.

If you're ever in Hereford make sure you got to Beefy Boys for a burger, they're great. They have lovely beers too. We were there a few weeks back and I'm thinking of excuses to go back to Hereford so we can go again. Some relatives went there last summer and were raving bout it, and we saw something about them on telly- it looked amaaazing. Now I just need to engineer a trip round that way, or hope they expand elsewhere soonish.

Popeyes is ok, better fries for one. I hear some people think it's better than KFC but having a Zinger tower pips it. I fancied trying Popeyes and then saw a bloke in the office get one, only to smell what he did in the toilet an hour later - has put me off for life.

I visited Rome not too long ago and spent the day poncing around the Vatican City. I was flipping ravenous afterwards and asked the tour guide where could I get some food. He was recommending all these wonderful sounding places - “not the tourist places, the real places where the locals eat” which I heard a lot in Rome. As I was a tourist I ended up in the first place I saw - McDonalds - and it was the best meal I’ve ever had because I was so hungry. I actually ranked it above The Sistine Chapel in the days highlights. Viva la McDonalds! WHAT?!! You were in Italy and you didn't have Naples pizza???

A load of the American chains opened in Oxford recently. A Popeyes, a Wendys and a Shake Shack. The problem is they near and are basically the same price as a dozen other small places who beat the shit out of them so Ive never actually been in. I'm not going to get a 10 quid burger from the shake shack when the covered market is *right there* Last time I was in Derby, they had opened a Tim Hortons in Chaddesden.

What happened to Quiznos? They pioneered the toasted sub thing, I liked them more than Subway Pretty much an American thing, aren't they? They have some in the UK. There's one in Bromley.
