I backed out of the process before it got too real, I was initially set on it being the right the right thing to do, but the closer it got to becoming real (i.e. had the referral was all done and I just needed to set a snip date) I couldn't do it. Partly because I just couldn't mentally comprehend I was agreeing to have a procedure on my junk, but also the chances of us conceiving again are medically extremely low. Anyway, hopefully I'm not going to crop up in the parenting thread anytime soon with news of an impending kiddo!

I nearly got the snip a few years back, but didn’t go ahead with it because it would have been a bit like fitting a roll cage to your car that you haven’t driven in years, ifyouseewhatimean. Mrs hedben then got an IUD and swears by it for reasons entirely unrelated to prevention of unwanted kids. But at least we’re covered if we do, er, go for a drive again.
