Oh yeah, a thread about people knitting sweaters out of your dick tubes and that's what disgusts you

This is something I've thought a lot about for the last year or so - surprised to find it only costs about $500 after Medicare rebates. After reading the experience of you lads it actually seems a lot less scary than I thought.

I had mine last December. The op itself was very traumatic, the recovery was sore. But it was definitely worth it. Team Childless Millennial.

I have 3 kids and definitely want no more. I really want to have the op but I’m too scared.
This new procedure sounds interesting though.

Went for the procedure about 5 years back. I remember the bruising was quite something and supportive (go you, you’re great) underpants for the first 5 days were most welcome.
S’alright. The needle wasn’t very fun as it goes in and then goes *in* and it was 18 weeks before the sample test.
No regrets. Had a moment of melancholy on the drive home as I realised my kid making days were done.

Keep meaning to have this done, I even made a GP appointment to get the ball(s) rolling on it ages ago only for the doctor to tell me to book *another* appointment because they had to do some sort of counselling malarky before referring me and she "didn't have time right now" to do it. Felt like a proper fob off at the time if I'm honest.
Anyway, COVID lock-down hit a week later and everything went to shit and I just never went back.
2 kids is definitely enough!!!

Poor Spooky - he came into the thread expecting a wholesome discussion about haircuts, only to be confronted with this.

paulyboy81 it's a pretty standard set of questions/things to be aware of. I had to do the same thing and couldn't just get it all out of the way in the appointment when I first asked about it. Went through the same thing before COVID hit too and got as far as getting referred, but gave up on it then.

I remember having to sign a form that said you might actually end up with debilitating ball pain for the rest of your life and you’re ok with that.
Otherwise it was fine. Weird making small talk with them while they have your scrotum literally peeled open but hey at least there’s the weather to talk about.

Man, I don’t know if I have the balls to do it. I mean, literally I do, but I’m really scared.
Really want it though. Maybe I should just book an appointment to get the ball rolling.

I'm down for it to be done in October I'll let you know!
Have two kids and we want no more so felt like the right thing to do. Sadly I get no sympathy for any nerves as its "not as horrendous as pushing out a baby" pssshh
In the interest of science I have just measured a half shot of ejaculate with a thick yet runny consistency.
I will compare post procedure for you. I have heard rumours of it turning to dust.

Definitely do it imo. Had mine done after kid 2. Took 2 chats with the docs, the fertility specialist was very reluctant. Her husband was less bothered and referred me straight away! Had to get the surgeon to give me extra anaesthetic during the op and was A bit achy afterwards but quite straightforward.

Bear in mind that we're all talking about the old snip 'n' tug method. Presumably it'll be done the new way if you get a referral now.
The (very low) chance of a lifetime of ball pain was a little unsettling, but hopefully that's less of a risk with the new way.

I guess I’ll book the appointment and go from there. I know it’s best in the long run. it’s less scary than another kid. That’s the way to look at it

I vaguely recall having some fuck off needles stuck painfully deep into my (somewhat shriveled) bits by some ancient surgeon and his young assistant then some potent and thick smelly puffs of smoke as they burnt away at my tubes. All over in about 15 mins and then collected by my (happened to be visiting) mum and balls as big as snooker balls and black/purple as for the next few days. Otherwise all good.
