Enjoyable episode bit of everything

Seems to be becoming a habit that Explaining that to people who've never seen Rebels is going to be interesting.

One thing this episode also highlights is how good Ray Stevenson was, taken far too soon from this world. RIP Titus Pullo.

Damn, look at that big bad spaceship. Let's fly really slowly in a straight line and not bother engaging it. I am sure my kid will be safe.

Yeah I was glad Ray Stevenson actually had something to do this episode apart from explain the plot and delegate.

He’s just a disaffected Jedi and since the story is fixated on master/student relationships, he will realise he’s done her diet by making her mean and contrive a way to kill himself to save her.

Still, to be fair, it did wrong foot me yesterday. I had mysterious ninja Jedi nailed on to be the one they are looking for rather than a sentient fart trapped in a leotard.

Interested in how they’re going to handle Thrawn too. The way they’re setting him up like he’s going to be Thanos rather than just the best leader for disparate ex-Imperials feels quite cartoony so who knows if he’s living in a cave or has an epic death fleet of super-capitol ships and ultra elite soldiers who all chose to run away from the Rebellion.

I know I could do the reading but I feel like the show should be giving us something. Seems like its mainly leaning on the cultural awareness that people will have of the name from the old SWEU more than doing anything else. I hope he won’t just be a final episode thing but we are half way in now and the episodes are steadily shortening.

I do like the show though. Very much appreciating how authentically 70s looking the big Republic ship interiors have been. And the US WW2 style fighters that the evil apprentice flew.

If the Millennium Falcon can make .5 past light speed, then i guess time travel has been in SW from the beginning.

Considering in a new hope several characters didn’t believe in the force, there’s an awful lot of force users just wandering around everywhere.

I was pretty sure before the first episode even dropped that the arc of this series would be
1)we have to stop Thrawn’s return!
2) (last episode) Thrawn returns.

And that’s it. Thrawn will be a thing in the big crossover series or telemovie, which will feature everyone except Boba Fett, because they learned from The Defenders and Iron Fist.

Whatever he’s supposed to be in will probably get cancelled, like whatever Darth Maul was going to be in after Solo.

I still reckon a bunch of low budget films would have been better. There’s plenty of stories they could have told without needing to spend $200m+ on each one, or the fortune they’re spending on the tv shows.

I think Disney are on fairly safe ground with Lars Mikkelsen returning as Thrawn.

That was a much better episode than the previous snorefest. I still loathe the dialogue though. It's a bit too Saturday morning cartoon.
