The way of attaching the joycons to the main unit sounds very weak, but then I guess it can't be worse than the current rails in that regard.
It looks too big to me, but then they pull out the steam deck which looks fucking massive.

The steam deck is like this generations GameGear. If you hold it vertically at one end, with both hands, and bring it down from above your head, it can be used to knock people the fuck out.

The 3D stuff is just an interpretation, but apparently the pic of the motherboard and casing is real, or very likely real.

I mean at this point I think it's pretty much dead on that it's going to be very similar to the OG switch if not the same form factor entirely based on records of components, backwards compatibility and the functionality of Joycons within those games and most importantly the success they had combining both their handheld and console markets together, that's here to stay. I wouldn't even be surprised if it was called Switch 2 which would obviously go against the grain of how they usually operate but it's a more conservative Nintendo coming out of probably the most successful console of all time. They're not going to rock the boat.

Yeah I saw that about the renders being some students uni project or something... but then this youtuber in that vid said she has had those same models / renders for weeks and was glad someone else leaked them. So fuck knows. |

If we can believe that YouTube video above, Switch 2 is the internal name. Could be they will just go with that.
I've always liked Super Switch, to get that nostalgia going. The abbreviation would be SS though. So, maybe Super Nintendo Switch.

Then again, it is also normally a bit more codename-y than just the previous one with a 2 on the end. |

There is no way the internal name is Switch 2 surely. Codenames are code for a reason - and that reason isn't just we haven't thought of another name yet.
